Rude and doesn’t represent Eastern European culture or lifestyle. Seems like a fake appropriation of polish food. May need to spend time back east before opening their California version of hip/cool pierogi

Got there an hour early before it opened today, 12:00, and sat down outside in the shade to wait for my buddy. After about 15 or 20 minutes, the owner came storming up to the door, swung it open and told me I just couldn't sit there until 1:00 and that if I sat there any longer he would consider it loitering. There was a good deal of menace (and malice) in his voice, like he was going to call the cops and have a 71-year-old cane-carrying senior citizen with a disability hauled away to the joint. It was classic stuff. He's like the pierogi Nazi instead of the soup nazi. I love it. Hence the five stars. What I say to you all is this: go an hour before the place opens, take a seat, and see what happens. Great fun! What a hoot! The most memorable experience I've had in quite some time!

I am highly disappointed by this place. The owner is not only rude, but doesn’t seem interested in hosting guests either. I’ve attempted to come here 4 times within through past 3 years of my living in San Diego, for some authentic Polish food. They have been closed every single time, with no warning on any of their public pages (yelp, google, social media, etc). I didn’t fault the owner for closing down after certain holidays, and was willing to give it another shot. Tonight, after calling 3 times today with no answer, we came 50 minutes before the posted closing time online. The owner could not have been ruder, saying he closed 10 minutes ago. The exchange was unpleasant, and continued beyond that, but I think his actions speak enough for themselves. Don’t give this guy your money, go support a better small business.

Terrible interaction as soon as I walked into the door. He pressed myself and my husband and said we can only order what he wants to make and then proceeded to get upset about my husband mispronouncing an item. Did not order food here and would not recommend due to sanitation and customer service. This man shouldn’t be running a business because he clearly doesn’t have the passion or class to do so.

I'm from out of town and stopped by around lunchtime. The place was empty. I was looking for a nearby cannabis shop and flubbed Google directions. The person running the place was beyond rude: You should learn how to read numbers, he sneered. I was floored. I like pierogies, I like supporting local businesses and I was hungry. That's where I would have eaten. It's in a quasi-industrial area on a street without much traffic and a few homeless folks around. Maybe you have to know the secret handshake. I ended up at In And Out Burger a couple blocks away.

I was so genuinely excited when I found out there’s a polish place in the neighborhood. I’m an Eastern European and love our food and love supporting our businesses. But
the guy at the register wasn’t happy to see us. We were the only guests at that moment. I asked for recommendations got none and a few “smart” comments were being made. He wasn’t rude, but was very unwelcoming. Sadly, we decided not to eat there as we were made feel uncomfortable so we took our business elsewhere
