When it first opened it was great, but we have found the experience has gone downhill the past year or so -- highly inconsistent. Sometimes employees are OK, other times they are unpleasant and insufferable.
So my step son comes home with a puzzled look in his face. His mother asks “what’s the matter” he asks if there has been some type of change where servers automatically add their own tips? We both said no and began to hear his story. Apparently someone else other than the original server cases him out before he asked, “they did announce LC” but still why are you guys adding your own tips now? And a 20% tip at that. The funny thing is he tips more than 20% but it’s the fact this young lady took it upon herself to charge my boy a tip and not allow him to decide for himself makes me a bit upset! This should not be fair practice for someone to decide to charge their own tip just because you thought they left, in that case you should have taken the L on the tip but you charged someone’s credit card extra WHY!!! I’d honestly like an explanation to this as I’m sure if this happened to my boy it’s happening to more people than him!
Solid beers and a great burger.

I ordered the iced Dirty Chai, took a sip, and immediately threw it away.
There was no Chai taste anywhere, tasted like burnt trash coffee beans.
I showed up on a Friday morning at around 10ish, place was filled with adults studying or doing work, seem like a cool place to do this at. However, the coffee was not it.

Showed the server a photo of the chicken satay salad online and asked if it was the same - he said yes. Came with totally different prep sauce all over not on side, chicken dry and over cooked. Took one bite and asked to switch for something else as it was not what the server agreed it was based on the photo. Server told me he couldn’t switch to a different food option and maybe I could get a discount on something else ordered off the menu. What?! So I sent it back was fully charged - he was tipped 20% on total food and one beer. I asked to speak with a manger ( I’ve worked in food/ hospitality for decades ) and was told no manager here - call tomorrow. The server was going the best he could without a manager and not his fault the food wasn’t as represented. Massive fail for customer service. I love this brewery’s beer but I will NEVER ORDER OR RECOMMEND THE FOOD HERE!!! Guess I’ll call my credit card company and refit the charges … so bummed as I was really hungry and only heard great things about this place. UPDATE : somehow magically they decided to comp the salad. I really want to like this place - they need to set themselves apart and improve the food stuff. And yes I still tipped the server as he did the best he could.

I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich and substituted Sourdough for the Brioche. The sourdough bread was perfectly toasted and it was the highlight of my entire meal. My side salad was good too. I will say, I ordered to-go as I had a busy work day.
My only feedback is to please add some chicken to the fried chicken sandwich. The piece of chicken in my sandwich was disappointing. It was barely a chicken cutlet. I saw the great photo on their online menu, and the let down I felt after taking my first bite was crushing. It was tasty breading with a hint of chicken. I can't imagine what that would have been like with a thick brioche bun.
Perhaps it was an oversight. I'd give this place another shot, but I feel you can get better value for a to-go lunch from a deli sandwich somewhere else.

Waited 30 mins at the bar for someone to serve us. When we asked an employee sitting at the bar if we could get a drink? He said someone will be out shortly. Once again, this was after 30 mins of sitting at the bar. Go to Fernside.

Lots of rules; impossible to chill. Had a pretty annoying experience here. Website says pet friendly but they neglected to tell me pets are only allowed outside until after I had ordered a beer and sat down inside. Could’ve mentioned the pet stipulation when I ordered my drink. Second annoying experience was a friend bought a four pack and gave me one. I opened it and poured it in my glass. Here come the waitress telling me not allowed to open on premises and taking it from me. It’s like they don’t really want you to enjoy yourself. Third annoying experience is they make you cover any growler label with stickers because “they want their beer to be unassociated with brands and pure.” Yet… they don’t even make their beer and they outsource it. All these experiences have revenue impact. I’d recommend going to Pure or even Taproom on El Cajon Blvd instead. They have a better burger.

Awesome, low key spot in the SouthPark neighborhood. Ordered the Fried Chicken sandwich and was pleasantly surprised at the seasoning and the spice level. A little dry but nothing too worrying as it was sort of a brunch rush.
As always, the beer is stellar. Will be something for everyone. Harland is the best!

California Brewery style. Open door policy with a great blend of inside and outside seating. Food is fuego. The HAZY IPA is so fruity and delicious.

As a neighbor in the area, I have given this establishment multiple chances, but unfortunately, the service consistently falls short. Whether it's the unwelcoming attitude of a particular staff member or a general lack of enthusiasm, the experience is never positive.
Additionally, I usually bring my dog and sit on the patio, as I am always reminded that dogs are not allowed inside. However, I have frequently observed other customers with their dogs inside the establishment, which makes me feel singled out.
Despite multiple attempts to give them another chance, my only positive experiences were in the months following their grand opening. Since then, it has been consistently disappointing.

I stopped in for a coffee and snack and enjoyed the lavender honey latte with a side of French fries. Lots of outdoor seating, dog friendly

We are visiting from Spain, we went to that place, in the cashier when we were about to ask for our order, there were two guys, the guy was kind and nice, and an asiatic girl was rude and kinda feeling superior, after her actitude we decide to leave, people in California specially in SD are really nice everywhere, the customer service is the key of every place experience, of course we went to a place where they could offer us that
