Overpriced. The nigiri was meh. Quality of the fish is not worth the price. Rolls are packed with cream cheese, mayo and other ingredients that mask the medium tier quality fish.
Their California roll is the best one. That says a lot.
Paid 150 for two adults and a child. No alcohol. That's including happy hour items.
Used to come here regularly back in the day when they had the harney club. They got rid of that and the quality seemed to go down with it. But they're busy so good for them.
They put restrictions on the synergy gift cards so beware.

My wife and I went to Harney Sushi after a long day of sight seeing. We were greeted by friendly staff and were promptly seated. The sake was great, food was delicious, the waiters were attentive and helpful. I did think the music was a little loud, at least it was pleasant to listen to. I would recommend checking this place out.

Old town's best kept secret! The best sushi in all of Socal. If you have a delicate pallet and prefer quality to hype. You'll definitely have a great experience.

While the Mongolian beef were good, my partners sushi was mid at best. The service was incredibly slow, and it wasn't even that busy. It seems the staff were more interested in talking than serving.
We will not be returning to this place.

A little pricey for not too much food but at the same time it is Old Town San Diego. And it is pretty.

I really like this place. The sushi was amazing and I loved the freshness of each roll. There were other options for the people in our party that didn’t want raw fish and I was told that the coca-cola was better than normal.

My friend and I sat at the bar- had great service. Late ish Monday night, had the place to ourselves which was relaxing. Good beer tap selection. I got the spicy ramen - flavor profile was good. I’d have added more of the spicy rayu condiment, but I think my palate prefers more intensity than most. We shared a few rolls (rolls Royce, spicy tuna, and soft shell crab), and enjoyed each of them. I’d definitely return!

In short, do NOT rely on this place for catering/pickup. This review is overdue but I keep getting emails from them thanking me for my patronage after unsubscribing many times so here we are. I had talked with the catering/pickup manager in December 2024 to place an order for a party, he said no problem whatsoever and had us on the schedule. Follow up phones calls and emails to the same person resulted in ZERO response back as to next steps (payment, etc.) and we were left absolutely scrambling to find a place to cater sushi right before the event. I event stated my desperation in messages to them. The order was super basic and I did not have any crazy requests. We ended up catering from Kappa Sushi in Mira Mesa which was absolutely amazing and took our desperation order - super fresh, guests raved about it, and highly recommend.
