Found this little gem on social media, and I must say the service was outstanding. Everyone was incredibly attentive, and the food arrived hot and fresh. We sat on the patio, I appreciate they have large baskets next to your table to place your belongings in.

The chicken karaage was exceptional (we didn’t get a photo, but it looks just like what others have posted). The batter was perfectly light and crisp. I ordered the Hayashi Omurice with brisket fried rice, and the demi-glace sauce added a rich, flavorful touch. My partner went with the curry, which was solid and straightforward.

The only minor drawback was that the brisket portions in both dishes were a bit sparse compared to what we were hoping for. That said, the overall experience more than made up for it.

Really incredible atmosphere that is bright and inviting while also being soft and soothing. The service was impeccable with an incredibly kind and helpful wait staff, and the food and drinks were very well plated and very tasty. I highly recommend checking this one out!

Japanese food should be subtle, this was bland. It's a little pretentious. Stick to drinks and desserts.

Super delicious! I've been here many, many times, and the food and drinks are always so delcious. When you sit at the bar, you can see how much care they put into making the parfaits and drinks. Most of the staff are so meticulous and thoughtful, only once have I watched them make my soda float a bit carelessly. I really recommend the guratan and omurice, they're the perfect comfort food. The place has a very comforting and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely the type of place for smaller groups, as the place is a bit small and cozy, so keep that in mind!

This little Japanese restaurant has few seating. Highly recommend to come here right when they open. Or else you will wait for 45min to get seated. As they have good food, drinks and desserts.
It's a family owned restaurant.

I will defiantly come back. So nice restaurant with good atmosphere. They prepare the food in a dedicate way that I really appreciate. We take 2 rice ball to go before flight as we are leavening Seattle. 5 hours later, I open the to go box figure they wrapped the rice ball so well it’s still not cold. (Seattle is 56f for the record)

Hatsuzakura was recommended by a friend for a Japanese comfort food birthday dinner. This cute restaurant was an excellent choice, it’s a small , first come first serve , North Park gem. I ordered the curry and it was so tasty! This dish included rice already so the full set choice came with soup, salad, and a dessert. We had the oven baked macaroni for the table and it was so delish! Our waitress was very kind , attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a enjoyable birthday experience.

We have come here multiple times and always enjoy our experience! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting and incredibly clean, and the food is always excellent! The menu changes fairly regularly, so we're always excited to see what they have when we come. We will continue to be loyal customers here for a very long time!

Awesome service and wonderful Japanese dishes. The Omurice was pleasant and tangy, the tea was delicious, and the fruit sando was fresh...not to mention the home made milk bread was exceptional.

I had a salad which was perfect except the chicken I ordered with it was excessively salty. Nobody seemed to apologize or even try to make things right. I tried one piece of chicken and it felt like I was eating a salt pack. I tried another in case I just happened to get the saltiest piece, but each of the pieces of chicken were very salty. After I told the waitress, I ordered it next with a side of shrimp. It was kind of disappointing because they give you a few baby shrimp and some of the pieces were also pretty salty, but I didn’t want to call them out on it. My daughter had the curry udon. The taste was great, but because they put the beef on top of it, it was quite oily. The salmon onigiri was fantastic and well worth the price. It was my favorite savory item we ordered.

The best part was dessert. We had strawberry and mango shaved ice. It was enormous and they use fresh fruit. I think they make their own flavored sauces too. It comes with whipped cream which adds a nice touch.

I also tried the 3 mochi sticks. It was not what I expected. I got it to go, and the three skewers of mochi were very puny soggy and wet. They packed the sauces on the side. It was not very appetizing for the price that you pay. You can get better mochi in the Japanese markets.

Overall, I think it’s a really great place to go for a beverage and dessert. The shop is very cute and beautifully decorated. It is like stepping into Japan and savoring the beauty of the cherry blossom season. It’s definitely worth trying as an overall experience.
