Been a fan of Hayes since their other location. Ordered pickup. I went and picked it up, everything were piled on top of the fries, burgers ketchup, napkins etc, so they steamed and got soggy. Seems like a no brainer not to do that but 🤷

Love this place! It’s my go-to. A little pricey but it’s worth it because it’s fresh and made with love. I’d rather spend a few extra bucks on this place than somewhere like burger lounge

Awesome burgers, well constructed, not too messy and delicious meat. This place is a neighborhood gem with a super dedicated and kind team running it also

Best smash burger in all of San Diego. Best fries in all of San Diego. I have become a regular. Their quality is always so good a 100% of the time. And they have cute outdoor seating like a cafe. And… great prices. What else can I saw but Hayes Burger has cracked the code.

Burger was one of the cleanest tastiest burgers I’ve had ever. Like a better in-n-out version. Buns were soft and good. Burger wasn’t sloppy overwhelmed with sauce, everything was just perfect! 10/10 for the burger and service. The Adams location is small and parking tough if busy but still a cool spot. Prices on the heavier side for a double cheeseburger ($14ish) not including fries but worth a try if you haven’t tried it before. If the burger was bigger I’d go back frequently but $14 for a double kinda puts me at once in a while visit to Hayes.

We recently stopped by and ordered a triple burger + double cheeseburger with fries and two sodas, and the total came to over $50+ which ain't cheap.
But hey, everything is kinda expensive these days due to inflation and other economic factors, so that's not a huge issue per se.
Our issue was both the fries and the burgers were way too salty, which made it hard to fully enjoy the meal.
The quality of the ingredients seemed decent, and the service was friendly, but considering the price point, I expected a better balance in flavor and overall value.
It's not a bad spot, but for that kind of money, there are other places I'd consider first.

This was a one time thing.
Paid $40 for a cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, and ONE order of fries. Seems a little much for a burger and fries that didn't taste out of this world. I can now say I've tried Hayes and won't be returning. It's hard to support local businesses when the prices are outrageous. In n out would've been half the cost and would've tasted better.

Double burger was awesome. Not usually a fries person but these were tasty. Love that they have a Pup Patty. Welcome addition to Normal Heights. Please stay forever.

Good cheeseburger, great fries, good service.
This place continuously makes amazing food each and every time I have come. This experience in particular had amazing customer service from being greeted the moment we entered to being checked on even after we received our food! Can’t recommend this place enough for a good burger and fries!
