Travel ALOT for work so a good spot when traveling is like a diamond in the rough so to speak. The whole staff is fantastic and baddass here every time I get a chance to eat here. The food included don’t think I’ve eaten the same thing twice and always a very satisfying meal. Isabel and Guillermo have been great the times I’ve been there for sure. Thx guys!!!

We were charged an outrageous amount for 2 simple drinks, and the moron behind the bar seemed to think it was no big deal. And they were crappy drinks on top of that! Never going back there.

Please can they have a makeover? Dark green carpet is smelly. Tables have a chronic sticky film. All the furnishings, art and faux flowers need a renaissance.Even menus have seen better days. Service is sad and slow. The only grace is the vodka lemonade which hasn’t changed.

Live music and great service. We only ordered the pretzels with beer cheese they are okay - but would definitely come back and try other foods.
Went here for the 1st time fir happy hour and it was surprisingly awesome. I will definitely be back here and it's 1 of 2bars open till 2am in LA jolla!!
Hennessy's tavern is awesome! Great food at very reasonable prices and a friendly staff.

This is not the first time we’ve visited, but it is the first time we’ve been treated so poorly. What a shame. The waitstaff had the worst attitude—not only were they unwilling to work, but they even seemed annoyed when we asked for service. I had to go to the bar myself to order because the waitress wouldn’t bother to come to our table.
To be fair, the young man at the bar was very kind and helpful. However, this was the first and definitely the last time I’ll visit this place. It’s unfortunate because the food, music, and atmosphere are phenomenal, but those two waitresses drive customers away with their attitude.
