Our experience was so wonderful. We felt elegant and yet comfortable. The waitstaff was particularly great (yay for Aaron!). The food was awesome, too. And we felt so special with recognition of our anniversary with champagne and a dessert!

I'm so excited to try this place. The food was absolutely phenomenal, but the service at the bar was very deplorable and we were treated very badly. They kept taking our drinks away before we were finished and bringing us more drinks without us asking and then trying to charge us for it. all 3 bartenders were extremely rude. We wanted to order more food but it was so bad we paid the bill and left. The food we had was outstanding. We just wish they were more friendly.

Herb and Wood is one of my fave spots in the entire city. I eat there somewhat regularly and have my birthday there every year.

Our server calvin was great Also the attentive young gentleman who kept my water glass filled up. Excellent service with a smile and friendly demeanor. We are from out of town and visit each year we are able to come down. You never disappoint. The soufflé is the best ever

My wife and I ate at Herb and Wood prior to a concert at the Rady Shell this past Saturday. Mattie was our server and the next time we dine at Herb and Wood we'll be requesting his station. We each began with the HW Old Fashioned which, with the use of Montenegro Amaro, has a unique and delightful flavor. Our meal started with their tomato medley which was delicious and more than enough for two people (in fact we took about 1/3 of it home). My wife had the shrimp toast appetizer as her entree'. I had their seared tuna steak for my entree'. Both were delicious and beautifully prepared. The accompanying sauce for each dish really augmented the main protein flavor. We didn't have time for desert. My wife had a glass of the Daou Chardonanny and I chose the Tempranillo. Both were delicous and complimented our meal choices. We'll be back in a couple of weeks prior to another Rady Shell concert.

Delicious food. Professional service. Loud and busy and fun. Really good place for date night or dinner with a group of friends. We brought our kids (not really a kids' place) but they liked it and had fun. Pizzas were good. Steak was amazing.

Was going to try to single out one food item but honestly all the food was great! Paired with great cocktails, it was a great choice to check this restaurant out while visiting with family- great ambience and music

Our experience was disappointing. Our waitress, who was wearing a mask, wasn't attentive and seemed to dismiss us—possibly because we looked young and were together. She checked on the table next to us multiple times but not once came to check on us. We had to flag her down just to place our order, which made us feel overlooked and unwelcome.
Everything besides our service was a 10/10. Our server seemed to be annoyed that we were there, we were barely checked on, drinks took forever to get to our table, our server checked on us as we were finishing our meals, and we had to ask for plates to be cleared.
