This was the best dirty chai I have ever had. Anytime I’m in that area, and I may even make a side trip, I will be back.

Higher Grounds is my go-to spot for a delicious cup of coffee in San Diego! The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it the perfect place to relax or catch up with friends. Plus, their pastries are always fresh and tasty.

Kind of a hole in the wall, just 3 or 4 small tables. The owner/chef does everything. You order and pick up at the counter, pour your own coffee and grab your own napkins and silverware. But the crepes are terrific and generous size, lots of choices for savory fillings. A true off-the-beaten-path find.

Best spot in town for a quick morning coffee.

I got a decaf capuccino with almond milk after going out from my doctor's appointment. Good to have where to get coffe there.

Terrible quality coffee. I was really looking forward to trying this place, as well. I pass the sign every day on the way to work and it really makes it look like a cool craft coffee place. How can you call yourself Higher Grounds when you use a bag of Lavazza beans from Costco that costa $13? With so many amazing local roasters and great coffees produced all around the country and the world, you use wholesale garbage from Costco that anyone can buy. I had to ask three times for her to even understand the question of what kind of espresso beans they use or where they were from. Don’t waste your time going here unless it is your only option or if you don’t really care about the flavor of your coffee or where the beans came from. I can’t speak other options like food but if you can’t even do the basic thing right of the business that you’re in, why would I bother trying your other stuff either?

Everything from initial planning to food delivery was amazing! Tahnie and Tyler are a dynamic duo. They answered all my questions and were so willing to create the right food for the occasion. Thank you for making our women's conference so special with such delicious food! We will use them again!

Tyler catered an event at our home and the food was delicious, went with a taco bar and the meats and salsas were delicious! They made the setup and takedown of everything so easy that I didn’t have to worry about anything. Would absolutely use them again!

Can't say enough about this place. Excellent food and Tyler and Alex are the best. Super friendly service. Just had them cater my holiday gathering and the food and set up and take down were flawless. Everyone told me how much they enjoyed eating his tacos and dessert. Thank you to his wife, Tahnie, for helping arrange it all. Great team. Would use them again in a heartbeat!

This place should expand to have more locations!! I don't make it to the area often, but when I do, I HAVE to go to Higher Grounds again. I stumbled across it because I was hungry and it was one of the only options nearby, and this place... wow- it's a hidden gem. I met the owner himself- super friendly and dedicated to his work. I found out he is a very experienced chef, and it definitely shows in the food and rotating menu items! I was expecting a place like this to have typical grab and go sandwiches or prepackaged items, given it's location- but I was so wrong. I had the tacos my first time there and ohmaiihgawd.... fantastic. Words don't describe how impressed I was. I also had got there at the right time, because as I was finishing up my lunch, I turned around to see the line was all the way back to the building doors, so others are starting to catch on to how good it is! DON'T. MISS. OUT. ON. THIS. PLACE!
