I really love this place. It’s always very clean, and both the staff and the owners are genuinely kind, welcoming, and friendly. Every time I come here, I don’t feel like just another customer — I truly feel like part of the place.
Even when I stop by to pick up orders for deliveries, they always greet me with a warm smile and a positive attitude, which honestly makes a big difference.
Overall, it’s a wonderful place with great people. I highly recommend it.

Amazing pizza for this rainy NYE! My only complaint is that it is a very small shop and they were blasting Akon from a JBL speaker hanging near the side door that was so loud I couldn’t hear the cashier two feet away from me. The pizza was DELICIOUS and we’ll definitely be back.

Great pizza, cute outdoor seating nook. Order was ready when it said it would be after we ordered online. Lots of veggie/vegan options and GF crust is available.
I live in the area and sometimes walk by with my dog. They are dog friendly and may even offer your pup a pepperoni!

Great late night spot. Pizza was awesome... if u like modern Neopolitan-style. Crust w/ Charred edges , the sauce, and fresh mozzarella is what takes these over the top for me.

HillCrust Pizza is on a completely different level. I have eaten pizza all over Los Angeles and San Diego, but this place has something special that keeps me coming back. I actually make the drive from Beverly Hills just to eat here, and every time it feels worth it. The quality and consistency are unmatched.
The Loaded Hilly Philly Cheesesteak is my favorite item on the menu. The flavor is outstanding, the portions are generous, and the fact that they use halal grass fed meat makes it even better. It is without question one of the best Philly steaks I have ever had. Their pizzas are just as impressive. The dough is organic and non GMO, soft and airy yet with the perfect bite, and the San Marzano tomato sauce gives it a fresh, authentic taste.
I have tried just about everything here and it has all been excellent. The Golden Hill with Mike’s Hot Honey has the perfect touch of sweetness and spice. The Sunset Cliffs with pickled jalapeños has the kind of flavor that stays with you. Even the Margherita, which is usually simple anywhere else, is fresh and full of flavor here. What stands out most is that no matter what I order it always comes out consistent and delicious.
The atmosphere is another reason I keep coming back. The restaurant is quiet, peaceful, and relaxing, making it the kind of place where you can actually enjoy your food without distractions. The staff is also friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.
HillCrust Pizza is more than just a pizza place. It is a spot that takes quality seriously and delivers every time. For me it has become a destination, and if I am willing to drive from Beverly Hills just to eat here that should tell you how special it really is.

I am Vegan, they have an amazing vegan menu. They are offering vegan cheese and vegan meat as well as a vegan Philly cheesesteak! The only reason I gave four stars is because you cannot make any changes to the ingredient list for the Philly cheesesteak. I would like to be able to omit Something on the Philly cheesesteak.
