We have tried only Masala Chai there. It was really good. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

First time eating Nepalese food. Cool experience where serving dishes have a cultural flare and restaurant is decorated in a picturesque way.

This is the BEST Indian spot in Mission Valley!! My favorite dishes are the Aloo Gobi and Vegetable Pakora. I love how customers get a free warm Daal soup to start as well. I would recommend Himalayan Curry & Grill to anyone visiting San Diego. There is a warm atmosphere with friendly service. I go about once a week. LOL! There's not enough I can say to describe just how bomb this place is. <3 Thank you Himalayan Curry & Grill for continuing to go above expectation.

It is ALWAYS delicious. The chicken korma is my favorite, and the mango chicken is my husband's favorite. We love the lentil soup that comes at the beginning of each meal, and we love the garlic naan and the sweet coconut naan.

Ordered the buttery curry with tofu and a side of garlic naan for takeout and it was AMAZING. It was exactly what i was craving on a rainy day and they were able to substitute the chicken for tofu. The staff was very warming and they’re definitely less expensive than other Himalayan places. Props to the staff and the owner!

The restaurant has nice ambiance with wall decorations, statues in display cases, and pictures of Nepal. The restaurant is bigger than what it appears on the outside. No wait to sit down on a Friday at 7pm. Nice!Service was quick and adequate. No complaints. We ordered chicken tikka masala with rice, chicken momo, butter naan, and lamb biryani with mild spicy level. Flavor was good. Chicken momo was juicy. Chicken tikka masala was creamy and on the sweet side. The lamb biryani rice was moist with big pieces of lamb. Next time I will ask for more spicy. Overall we enjoyed our dinner.

Wow, let me tell you, the butter chicken from this place is seriously the bomb! I mean, I can't get enough of it. It's like a flavor explosion in my mouth. But hey, I gotta admit, the prices are a tad steep, especially when they charge you for those tiny little sauces. Still, it's totally worth it for that mouthwatering butter chicken.

Soup included! Usually get an order of papad, samosas, garlic cilantro naan and a vegan dish. So delicious and the staff is attentive and quick. I've been here many times and it's always consistently amazing.

I usually order from Himalayan Curry & Grill to-go, but I think I'm going to have to give their lunch special a shot after seeing it all over everyone's Yelp reviews. I love this spot. Their lamb korma is my go to. Always with cheese or garlic naan and pualo rice. Portions and pricing are competitive to the other options nearby. This one is one of my faves though!

The ambience and customer service is good. But the food was really awful. I mean, where do I start really? The Paneer curry we ordered had so much of artificial coloring that it felt like I was putting red-colored oil paint in my mouth. I could actually get the taste of the old used oil in my mouth after my dinner from the Paneer Pakoda. I fell sick on Friday! I know how much I suffered due to the bad food quality. I've been to almost every major Indian restaurant here in SD and I've lived here for almost 4 years. This is not what I expected ?

We order take out from here all the time especially on days that I'm vegetarian. Can't believe I've never got around to review such a gem!Over the years, their price has increased a bit and I feel like the portions are getting smaller. The quality is the same. Except their spice level is not spicy. We got a spice level 10 for chicken tikka masala and spice level 5 for veggie korma. Delicious creamy buttery taste but my level 5 was nothing when I can be sensitive. Not even a kick. Each meal comes with lentil soup and either rice or naan. We didn't know about the lunch deal until we got there to pick up. I wished they give us options over the phone. The lunch special is from 11-3 which is great deal.Parking in this plaza is plentiful.
