The food here is amazing but the customer service is so bad. Some rare occasions its good when its a different person but the girl working here with glasses is very rude and has a bad attitude. There is also no consistency when it comes to buying a side of onion or asking to sub rice for more mac . I asked once if i could sub rice for mac and a girl was sweet about it and said yes. I even always got extra green onion. But whenever its the girl with glasses she tells me they dont sub mac in a rude attitude and i was charged for extra onion on the side. . I dont mind paying the extra but it would be nice if i didnt get charged once then not the next.

Small place but great food if you like the Hawaiian vibe. The Katsu's are tasty and super crispy! Reminds me of places I've been in Hawaii and Japan. They have some fun selections for beverages and dessert. It can get crazy busy but worth the wait.

Parking space small but not bad. Got the 2 item combo, 18.99 plus tax, katsu and kalbi. Katsu was great but kalbi was overcooked. Will come back and try other items like deep fried spam musubi and loco moco

Their spicy shrimp was AMAZING. Full of flavor, perfectly cooked—really great. I also got their Likikoi lemonade which was also amazing! Refreshing and came with fresh lemons.

Pork overcooked no seasoning on meats, asked for soy sauce found none when I got home.
My wife and I were in San Diego for our daughter’s college move in. And we was deciding where to go have lunch my daughter had found this place man let me tell you the food was so good it makes you jump back and kiss yourself. Wifey and had the short ribs with Mac, Hawaiian style Mac and our daughter had the salmon. Oh I can’t forget the dirty sodas so many flavors I can’t them all and the banana pudding Mmmmmmmmmm so good. The next time we are in San Diego Homestyle Hawaiian is or go to spot. 5 stars all the way across the board 😊😊😊😊

The food was decent for the price but the service was immensely slow, even with just about five customers inside.
Other customers were visibly frustrated after waiting for 30 minutes and some spoke openly about it to the staff, and the young guy working on 8/14 made sure to awkwardly and openly talk about the incident loudly in front of other customers after the upset customers had already left. No bathrooms for customers either.

I showed up and nobody was in the place. It took over 25 minutes to get my food, on my 30 minute lunch break. I asked about my food and she was very rude. I've been to many homestyle Hawaiian locations. This place has the worst food and the worst service.

It was our first time and only time we’ll be eating at this place. The guy and girl taking our order were nice! Our food came out fast. I ordered the katsu chicken. It wasn’t hot or warm. It wasn’t good at all! My husband got beef teriyaki. It was disappointing. The meat was stiff and taste like a bag of beef jerky. The only thing that was good was the dole whip and the dirty soda.
