Super atmosphere, beers a little expensive but it's worth it to be at a concert

Funky, grungy, cool place to see Wild Child. Too bad about the zombie street people with open sores covering the sidewalks on your way there. Plan on doing a lot of standing unless you pay the premium to sit down.

Customer service was bad, would go into detail but I didn't get his name. Wrong seat given. No refund offered. Wouldn't give us the seat we paid for. Ended up sitting 1 of us with back to the stage. Spend your money elsewhere, I will be. Expected much better.

My daughter in law, called frantically saying that this establishment confiscated her Florida State Real ID, saying it was a fake! This was determined by 3 people, including the GM. Even after she also showed them her active duty spouse ID card. The problem is, they can't just take her ID card. By California Law, they need to give her a receipt. They didn't, so I told her to call SD Police. The police came, determined it was indeed a Real ID card, and it was returned. Her phone was still on, I heard the GM apologized saying SD was a college town, and they had to be careful with ID, and the usual blow sunshine your way excuses.WELL SD is not a college town, it's a military town. Perhaps you should better train your staff. To bully a 24 yr old woman like this is unacceptable!I recommended to avoid this establishment! They simply don't care!FYI, with over 100,000 employee's, San Diego is indeed a Navy town!

Please do better with hiring bouncers. One of my friend got accused of having a fake ID and confiscated. We understand it’s their job to trust and verify but the bouncer working today just kept accusing and ridiculed us saying that she made a fake ID online and must’ve found other methods to do so. We had to get the police involved and put the situation to rest, granted we were compensating a refund. We get they have a job to be assertive for situations like this but humiliating us was so uncalled for.

venue was a good and the bathrooms were super clean! watch out for the bartenders though, went one night ordered drinks from 2 different bartenders but one was saying the drinks were more expensive than they actually were. Found out they were over charging me and pocketing the extra cash. I talked to the manger and I did get my money back but please be aware!

Great views of the stage from anywhere in the venue. The restaurant is OK. The tables are literally in a cold hallway by a bathroom. I would not recommend the restaurant simply because of the table locations. Ruins the vibe.
my experience here was terrible, i went to see a concert all ready paid for ticket one of the managers pulled me out of line and started questioning me for no reason i answer all questions after words she proceeded to not let me in cause she claims i was drunk when i was the only sober person out of my group and i was driving everyone home. Don’t recommend going there!

It was our first time dining at the House of Blues. I don't know if we would return. Unfortunately, our sever was not very friendly or proficient in customer service. When we all had ordered drinks 4 of us received our drinks. We waited on our last guest to get theirs to cheers as we were celebrating my birthday. We waited for Conner to return 20 minutes later just to tell us they didn't have 805 on draft and asked if he would accept a can. He said yes, then that took another 10 minutes to get. I had walked to the bar to inquire about our guests drink and the employee behind the bar was rude and not helpful at all. Then when going to attend the concert there were 3 lines VIP, Fast Pass & General Admission. They let VIP in but then they let Fast Pass and General Admission in at the same time. I had heard good things about the House of Blues, yet was very disappointed by our experience.
Making reservations was the way. Happy prices were a great deal even on event night. Service was less than ok. Need to ask about napkins and to check on drink orders. Food was a great value from the happy hour menu, not from normal menu. It was dark In there to read the menu so bring your phone flashlight. Eating there before an event got us “Fast passes” which was a great treat! Overall a good night out!

Love this venue can be a little tight for larger names in genres they represent.

They don't know how to make a grilled cheese sandwich or croutons. The table was shaky. Sketchy area. Yikes!
