Was craving a true deli sandwich and this didn't disappoint. Went for The Gaslamp (minus tomato) and it's massive, delicious and hit the spot. Slightly drippy/messy so grab extra napkins. I think I accidentally got extra meat as the ~$13 sandwich ended up being ~$15.50 after taxes and a 'surcharge' which I guess was for using a credit card? Not very busy on a Thursday before noon, one woman making the sandwiches. She was helpful, pleasant and put a smile on my face. The market sells some groceries, snacks, alcohol...

Best BLT I've found so far in San Diego. Add avocado!Edit: Wrote this 6 years ago, and still stands! Same great people running it. Same sweet lady making the sandwiches with love. This time I had "The Aztek" with added bacon... Yum! We moved our offices from downtown SD to Chula Vista, but my boss was itching for a good sandwich, so he sent me up here. Totally worth it. Ha!The owner is pretty cool. He always turns my added credit card to cash out of the register for me to put in the tip jar back at the sandwich counter. A great example of why we should all shop at locally-owned, small businesses. Forget 7/11 and AM/PM... let's see them offer a sandwich like that!

The last two times I ordered I have been a complete disappointed. The first time I received a hot dog on a subway sandwich roll (yes you read that right) and this time not only was mayo included in my order, which I specifically asked to have removed, but the food was completely exposed in the bad leaving it inedible. I am not sure if it is better if you go in person but delivery is a no.

Stumbled upon this place as my friends and I were walking by and it was the best choice ever. We didn't know it was the best rated deli in town, we were just starving and needed a snack. Best decision evvvveeeerrrrr. Giovanni was sooo kind and patient with my indecisive group and he did the damn thing in his sandwiches 10/10 choice. We will definitely be back!!!!!

I absolutely love this deli sandwich place! It's a cute market have options to drink from. They're family owned and everyone super friendly to get to know! I've had there Pastrami Chino, Astec, And Pastrami Reuben and I keep coming back for a quick lunch break snack! or if I'm the mood for picking up alcohol to your next destination grab a sandwich while you're at it. they're worth the wait!

A great downtown deli run by a local couple. Had the Ruben really high quality rye bread delicious pastrami and very tasty sauerkraut and thousand island with cheese melted perfectly. Really nice people who care about what they do.

I love this store already lol ... i I was briefly roling thru SD Gaslamp district and i stopped to get some water & a few snacks..This store has literally every alcohol for gifts or consumtion you can ask forand Mr Regan, thank you for generosity & Kindness.. trust me Kindness goes along way in my eyes.not only are you a perfect gentleman, but you showed concern & thoughtfulness.You will soon be rewarded!!
