Poor views of the big bay boom, had several people who did not pay for experience stand around and block our viewing area. Food was replenished at a slow rate and not worth the price tag. Server for drinks was ok
We are typically an easy going group easy to please. I had reserved a premium sitting for 4 people for July4 fireworks on their patio. The intent was to have dinner, dessert, and drinks and watch the fireworks at our table. We arrived to check in for this premium experience and they sat us outside on the patio at a table where we did not have a view of the waterfront or fireworks This was one of (4 tables) that had with no view of fireworks. I explained to the hostess this was not what the experience was that we booked. The manager came over and explained that is all they had for a table and that we could walk the to the waterfront to view the fireworks as that was just a short walk off of the patio experience where we were booked for the dinner (which is what we had to do). Unfortunately this was not the experience we paid for. This is top, #1 bad experience at a food establishment; the buffet that was average with limited options, we thought we would be on a patio with a view of the fireworks for dinner (which we did not get and had to leave the venue to watch the fireworks), and the frustration was amplified because this was an event that we had booked is for a special day on a family vacation to celebrate July4. My suggestions would be to not sell tickets for the tables with no view. I think overall there were 12 seats with no view @ $115 each would have reduced the venues revenue by $1,380 for this July 4 Event, but would have ensure that all parties had a premium experience.
The view, the ambiance of the restaurant and the food I give 4-5 stars! Hudson & Nash is such a beautiful location on the water, offering indoor and outdoor seating. The decor and vibe of the restaurant is very beautiful and coastal inspired. We went for the Fourth of July barbecue buffet and really enjoyed the food selection. The taste of the food was amazing and the chef came around a couple of times to ask all the guest how they were enjoying it all which we really appreciated. Our server, however, was just OK. He told us that if he would like to order drinks, he would bring us the drink menu to which we said yes please. Then he would come back to our table over and over again asking for a drink order to which we would respond. Can we please see the drink menu? Eventually, he brought it over and we were able to order some cocktails with our prepaid Fourth of July barbecue buffet. Those of us who had just ordered sodas, never received any refills,. Those of us who had cocktails were never asked if we wanted a second one whereas the tables next to us were being brought refills on sodas and cocktails over and over again. It was a buffet so the server should've been clearing our table/plates, but we had at least two plates per person stacked before he finally took our plates away. He wasn't very friendly or in the mood to be cordial to people coming to a restaurant to celebrate a holiday. We would definitely go back again for the food and the views but just hope we get a different server.
This was a wonderful, Summer buffet—especially geared to the July 4th crowd! The servers in the restaurant were just great! This was a perfect meal prior to a July 4th performance at The Shell—complete with extreme Fireworks...!
The ambiance was nice and energetic. We ordered apps and wings were delicious, highly recommend.
Not bad, but underwhelming food, and in the end pricey for what it is. On the plus side or was not crowded in a Sunday evening, which was conducive to a nice conversation between friends, and the setting near three marina is beautiful.
Beautiful views and amazing bites.
Outstanding wait staff and pleasant atmosphere.
It would be 5 stars, if I didn’t have to wait for >25 minutes for the hostess.

Food was incredibly over priced for the quality and the additions. No condiments you’d expect from a restaurant selling a NEW YORK Steak for $57. Sides were just as hinders. They definitely need new/better management and head chef! Save your money and eat anywhere but here! Our server was awesome “Adam” he was great! I’ve literally had better food at 2AM in an AM/PM! They really need to get their S*** together or quit asking customers to pay their Bay Front Rent and let a real restaurant move in!

The food was good and the service was even better. It was also a beautiful atmosphere, right on the water. The menu was limited and it was a bit pricey, but overall I would recommend it.
Limited menu. Don't go by the pictures on OpenTable. Service was very slow. They took away our appetizer plates and left all of the crumbs on the table (we were not sloppy- just regular that would fall away). It took a very long time for the food to arrive. We weren't offered any type of soda refills until we were almost ready to go. The waiter was nice, just not the greatest service. The food runner was not polite and just served the main course on top of crumbs. Not worth the $300 for 4 people.

Food was good. But not worth the price. Orange juice was not fresh, again for the price I had much higher expectations.
Sat for 10 before someone took my order. Another 20 after getting my food before I asked for another drink. And then another 15-20 min of not touching my plate for me to wave someone down to get the check.
Overall very subpar.

It was...ok. As a solo diner I was shoved in a corner where the table was at an awkward height for the diner. I felt like my server was very busy with another table and I was an afterthought. Even the check took 20 minutes to get. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. The creamy quinoa was just quinoa. The asparagus was tough. The salmon was ok. Wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but wouldn't avoid if it was the only reasonable option
Food was overcooked, bland no flavor. Wait staff took a long time to take our order. It took about 30 minutes to receive order. One order was eventually taken, wait staff never returned to table. Food was delivered by another staff person. Because our waitperson was no where to be seen, we requested assistance on two separate occasions from other two other waitpersons. Neither of them fulfilled our request. They totally went about their business as if we were invisible. It was our first time in San Diego and I was disappointed in staff throughout the Hilton property with the exception of housekeeping.
I would like to express my deep discontent and dissatisfaction with the restaurant. Hudson & Nash does not deserve the Hilton quality seal, and the hotel should not associate its name with an establishment that does not know how to serve its customers.
I stayed there from February 27 to March 3 while attending an international conference, and I have traveled to at least 17 countries, including Dubai. The restaurant consistently had a 30-minute wait time, and upon entering, it was evident that the place was empty. On one occasion, I sat at the counter, and when three friends called me over to the table where they had already ordered, I waited over 15 minutes to be attended to, menu in hand, calling and waving, while the staff ignored me and treated me as if I didn't exist.
When I questioned the hostess, she didn't care at all and even called security over, as if I was about to do something unlawful. I have never been so mistreated in a place that appears to be upscale. All the charm of the restaurant's beauty was lost due to the poor quality of service. Not even in Brazil is the service this bad; in fact, they should intern with us to learn how to treat customers properly. Even though I was sponsored to eat there, I chose to leave the hotel so I wouldn't have to subject myself to their service any longer. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. They don't want you there, they work out of obligation, and they take out their bad mood on guests and customers.
