Absolutely the best sushi in Hillcrest, the owner Satomi is so on top of everything and makes you feel at home as you order and she welcomes you in. Every single dish you can taste the freshness of the fish unlike other places in the area. They also have amazing lunch specials. Fresh amazing rolls, plates and ramen and so reasonably priced, dont miss out! Her staff is wonderful too!

I found out my driver's is license had expired, so I stop by the Normal st DMV. And like freshman getting ready for senior prom. It took all day.
However, Ichiban sushi just 2 blocks away and like always the Sushi was excellent I had the spicy tuna roll and a cold beverage.. The perfect end to a long DMV circle jerk!

If your at the DMV waiting skip McDonald's and have some tuna!

This is a Hillcrest staple. Definitely not fancy, but this is the place if you want good, inexpensive Japanese food (three words you almost never see together). The person cooking is Japanese. The waitstaff is Japanese. Happy Hour Sushi is amazing, and a lot of their menu is what a Japanese mom might make for her family.
