I love this place. I have dreams about their fried snapper. The staff is always friendly. I normally get the same cashier each time, and he's consistently buzzed, so how could he be in anything other than a good mood? I love that they sell the old bay hot sauce. Being from Maryland, Old Bay is used almost as much as pepper in my house. The hot sauce hits, but it's been tough finding it, or Old Bay, in California. So I appreciate being able to buy it here to compliment...
Love this hole in the wall fish place. They have a fresh fish case so you can take home and DIY in the kitchen, or they’ll fry it up for you on the spot. I like to get the catfish and have it cooked with the ‘spicy’ coating which isn’t hot so much as it is flavorful- in a Cajun way. The place is very clean and the folks who work there are super friendly, but the reason it’s special to me is that they make fried okra with a cornmeal coating. Crunchy and oh-so-delicious....
