I was excited to try out this restaurant based upon the reviews. DON'T GO! I still have stomach pains from the shrimp and it is now caused PTSD when I eat shrimp. It was rancid. After the issue with the shrimp, we then found cobwebs and a dead spider on the booth in which we were seated. It was a lively Saturday night everywhere else, but we come to this restaurant and there was nobody else in the restaurant and it was completely vacant. Erie. I felt like I was in an episode of Without a Trace. You should definitely a restaurant in which I can see many mob bosses would have made some deals. However, all of those my bosses are dead because of the bad food and the food safety issues
A classic spot that is very low key. The service is very good, and the food is cooked well. We enjoy coming here on date nights and days that we want to unwind peacefully.
The menu was limited. Only steaks. And they had no more filet mignon to offer. Very dark and vary quite. Only one other couple. This used to be one of my favorites but I had not been there after the COVID epidemic. Sadly I will not return and I cannot recommend it at all.
Food and drinks 10/10 and our server Rudy was the best!! A gem me and my fiancé stumbled across. We will be back on our next visit! 🫶🏼
Walked in to find 2 people sitting at the bar. No hostess, just a bartender. Asked us what we wanted. Replied “Dinner”, she asked which restaurant?? We left.
Good food and fast service. Fair prices and expert help.
The service, ambiance, and quality is fantastic. I enjoy the "old school" vibe and separate bar, entertainment, to include a dance floor is fantastic.
This is the best steak I’ve ever had. I always order the bone in rib-eye medium rare. I tell everyone about this place and I can’t believe it isn’t more popular. I’ve lived in San Diego my entire life and I haven’t found a steakhouse this delicious.

My wife and I found this place a few years back and we never looked back! We loved everything about this steakhouse! The service is spot on and the steak was beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family visiting San Diego!! My wife and I just celebrated our Anniversary here and our hostess went out of her way to make our visit here special!

I hate to admit it but this has been and will always be my favorite bar in San Diego. Not pretentious, the piano player and dance floor is always a good time and the bar staff are always friendly and attentive. A relic of another era but one that I hope sticks around for a long long time!

This is a dive bar that serves steaks but is out of half of their menu. Not only was the bar, seating and restaurant filthy, but they play tacky dated music that seems to match the last remodel of the place. I will never return and would strongly encourage people to steer clear of this place if they expect great food and a nice dining experience!
We'd be on our way right now if it weren't for a $30 SPLIT PLATE CHARGE! How ridiculous. My partner and I typically split a steak as we try to limit our red meat intake. $30 for what? Thieves,
