Love this spot for some local style grinds. Portions are plenty and I have not been disappointed yet. My wife is Hawaiian and also loves this spot.

Perfect spot to take my son after his NFL flag football game at the sportsplex. First time eating here. Didn't know what to order but the woman who helped me was very sweet. She helped me pick out food and was patient with my son's request. Place was clean and started getting busy as we sat down. We waited for our take out. Food came out quickly. My son got a kids burger meal. It was a really large burger and he loved the fries so much he ate them first and wasn't able to finish everything. I got the Kanak attack loco moco she recommended. It has a little of everything. Amazingly tasty. The sausage and spam are what they are.... The burger patty was delicious and the eggs cook perfectly. The pork and the gravy were the real stars of this dish. The gravy can ruin a loco moco for me. This place is doing it right. The pork was so flavorful I went for it all after the first bite. There was so much I wasnt able to finish it all. I also got 2 orders of garlic spam masubi. I was full but still took a bite and loved it. Again, the staff great, food great, and wait time great. My girls came home and ate all the left overs and said we have to go back. Almost forgot the shaved ice my son got... see photo ... it started about the same size as his head!

Love this little business! It's tucked away in a tiny strip mall across from the high school and has a humble dining room. I always take the food to go for lunch for me and my hubby and we have never been disappointed. The quality is always top notch and super filling. I love their Korean chicken and my hubby loves the loco moco. He grew up in Hawaii and this is one of the places that reminds him of home. Such a little gem close to us in Santee.

Great stuff. My favorite is the Korean chicken.

Best Hawain food I've ever had!!! Followed them from Tierra Santa. Love the Korean chicken

It might sound funny but you can honestly taste the love they put in the dishes. The chicken is perfectly grilled with crispy edges and tender enough to melt in your mouth. Hands down the best I've had anywhere. I can easily live off of this and not get tired of it. The shrimp is marinated wonderfully, not clashing with other flavors. Prices are more than reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. I have zero complaints and will definitely be back.

Came here with my brother and I agree this is definitely island style food. So if you're looking for a little bit of that laid-back atmosphere, but great Hawaiian style type food, this is the place clean, neat friendly, and the prices are reasonable.

My only negative about this ohana owned is no keiki or dessert menu. Otherwise, the grinds are Ono.

The food here is really good. We ordered single serving lunch plates. The serving sizes are large enough for two people. Excellent if you want to take some left overs home.

I come here often and I ordered a mahi mahi plate and the inside had blood gushing out of it. I returned it back to the restaurant and I was treated rudely by all of the staff inside. A guy hollered at me from behind the kitchen it’s not raw it’s a bloodline . They only made over my fish and not my sides . The piece of fish was extremely small . I had to ask them to make my rice and veggies over again , And they were extremely upset . Once I received the sides the portions were extremely small . I will never go back here again and I don’t advise anyone else to either .

What a hidden gem! Very casual welcoming place, just like I would expect in Hawaii. Nice amount of tables/seating available, clean and simple. No fluff, quick service, with piping hot food you just can't go wrong. Get there early, they close at 7 and you don't want to miss out. Seems take out is quite popular. The chicken katsu is the best around, the coconut shrimp plate was delightful, and the moco loco dish a fav. Only complaint, the mac salad must have tuna in it, it's was a bit fishy for our group. It would be nice to have an option without (love mac salad). The fried rice is served like a tall mountain full of goodness. The portions are generous, you have to try it!
