Isola makes the best Neopolitan Pizza I have ever had. I have eaten them all over the world and I make them myself, but I have to say this is the best I've ever eaten.

Don't waste your time. Staff walked past us maybe 10 times and ignored us at the host stand. One guy that maybe seemed like the manager finally came over and told us he would be right with us. We didn't mind waiting but some sort of acknowledgment earlier would've been nice. Our server was fine, took her awhile to greet us but the busser/server assistant was very nice and he filled our waters and cleared plates as needed while making conversation. He was the best worker we saw there. Our server checked in on us once the whole meal. None of the servers smiled once. Food was okay, nothing special and wouldn't go back especially with the service. We ordered the prosciutto and arugula pizza and the rigatoni ragu. I've had better. As a food service worker this was really disappointing.

Great service excellent food we love it there! Outstanding selection of pizza, and bruschetta is top-notch!

We had so much fun at Isola. Such a neighborhood gem. We've going for years and I always am reminded of what a great combination of awesome service, delicious food and fun ambiance we experience each visit. Eduarda is an absolute joy if you are lucky enough to get her as your server, but everyone we encountered is very friendly and caters to the guest.

Brought my boyfriend here for a relaxed birthday dinner while we were in San Diego for a wedding. I was exhausted from all the wedding activities, but the staff took such great care of both of us. My boyfriend loved the food, and they even helped me surprise him with a birthday treat!

I've never been disappointed with the food at Isola. The beef carpaccio is to die for and I never start a meal without it. Both the pizza and pasta are so fresh every time. I love how you can taste that fresh out of the fire taste on the pizza dough. Highly recommend!

Food quality and portions has changed, even when asked and charged for extra ingredients they didn't provide, I'm very surprised because I go there all the time and its very sad because this place use to be good, I hope the manager Will Correct these issues.

We had the Sunday specials - the lasagna and the eggplant parmigiana- both were very good.

Vibe is great, food tastes good too. Their pasta is decent and reasonably priced. Their lamb dish was okay. Would just go for their pizza and pasta. Their pizza is top notch in my opinion

Highly recommend the pizzas, salmon dish and the chicken dish! Service was great! Will definitely go back!

Always consistently good. Cute and cozy on the inside, small patio on the outside. Great local spot that I eat at often.

Having visited their Little Italy (the original ) location on numerous occasions, we had the opportunity to visit their Little outpost in La Jolla as it was closer to our hotel. Everything from the downtown location has been transported north, the food was excellent, wine choices great and there was a very friendly and local ‘vibe' happening with many families and regulars obviously enjoying their dinners. Carpaccio was second to none, and all our food was delicious. One thing to note is there is only a beer and wine license at this location, so if you need cocktails with your fabulous wood-fired pizza then stay with downtown.

We specifically request a booth table. I made reservation far in advance. But we were seated at a regular table in the middle of the room (quite a high traffic table), while there were empty half-booths all around us (the restaurant was quite empty at 5:45pm). I did not enjoy that experience so we ended up leaving.

Worst experience ever. Went there around 4pm, was 1/4 full. Stood about 3 mins, no one cared about us. A man in blue shirt noticed us and told us anywhere you like. Then we seated. No one ever came either. I’m not sure if they are racist or something else, because I saw the customers after us were leaded to their seat. Still the man in blue shirt came and gave us the menu. We randomly grabbed someone to place the order. All of them said they are not our server. Even after everything was finished, we didn’t know who’s our server.
