They keep going back and forth with their name (J at the Skydeck, and Zizikis) which is a little confusing when making reservations or meeting someone there, but the food is good, reasonably priced, and fresh. The pita was toasted a bit too much and couldn't be folded nor cut easily, but the salmon was perfect and the dressing tasty. I'll go again.

Went to this location for dinner!! Great food, great atmosphere. Free parking. I forgot my sun glasses on the table and the waiter went out of his way to return them to me. Excellent customer service. I'll be back for dinner with friends and family!

The food and service are top notch. We've eaten everything on the menu during our multiple visits. So many favorites!! Always freshand beautifully prepared. Staff is the best ...professional and friendly... Best restaurant in Del Mar!!!

Carter was my waiter and he was amazing. He did such a great job of recommending foods and being sensitive to my various food allergies. The salmon skewers were to die for! Very well seasoned, moist, and the perfect texture. Highly recommend the pear and fig salad with salmon skewers. My table also had the trio of spreads and they were so tasty!! Great service, beautiful restaurant, hope to come back!

In the new & cool Skydeck, J has good people and the food is good however still a limited menu that doesn't seem fully flushed out. I had the Lamb chops (3 medallions) which comes with only mashed potatoes which again tasted great but wouldn't you add a vegetable for a $32 meal? Regardless I will try again and we enjoy our time there.

I wish I could review the food, but sadly when we arrived for our 5:45 reservation the restaurant was closed. It's completely unacceptable that the restaurant didn't cancel their OpenTable reservations. We drove half an hour to try it out. If you make a reservation you may want to double check that the restaurant will actually be open.

Still need to improve speed of service out of the kitchen; but otherwise love the food and the location. Sean, has been our waiter everytime we have been there and does an excellent job. The Butter cake is a must have.

Such a welcoming restaurant with wonderful service! After looking at all the menus at Sky Deck we decided to try J ! The hummus dips were so good and you can get them with veggies or pita. The sous vide lamp chops were incredible and so was the potato puree! Great wine selection as well. Super comfy dining chairs, too :).

Absolutely had a blast here!As in its name, you'll find the restaurant in the SkyDeck food hall on the 2nd floor. Go towards the left side and it will be the 2nd restaurant past the street foods. I made a reservation beforehand (available on their website) and was quickly seated. Around 7PM, there were a couple tables available but the restaurant was definitely buzzing on a Friday night. The atmosphere was nice not only because it was in the cool SkyDeck area but the space itself felt distinct and modern. The bottles that lined the ceiling of this space definitely made it feel a bit more apart from the rest.Need to talk about the thing that absolutely won me over which was the service. The waiter was super chill and helpful, but when the wrong dish came out, he cooly told me that it was on the house and the kitchen was able to make the actual dish I ordered super quickly. Really appreciated that and no hassle so kudos to Sean for being awesome.Let's talk food. This place is a mix of New American and Mediterranean. I got to try the following:+J Burger: Pretty solid! The lamb burger didn't taste game-y at all and was really solid. Feta fries were also delicious // couldn't stop eating them when I should!+Center Cut Filet: The best item I had for sure. The filets were juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The veggies were super delicious and the the potato puree was a nice complement to it all.+Pita: Probably the weakest part of what I ordered. It was warm and not bad. But would have appreciated a side of olive oil or some hummus (or some other dip). They have an extensive wine menu and some beers - believe I got one of the pale ales.

Catching up with an old friend when we hadn't gotten together since Covid hit. It was a fun night with great food. Loved the roasted cauliflower, split the salmon! Really good too. Small but impressive wine list.

Good service. Good food. Good wine selection. This restaurant is located in the Skydeck which is a large open space with several restaurants and can get a little noisy, but the food is worth it. Get the Butter Cake.

The service was good, the sauteed vegetables were amazing, and the Baklava ice cream cake was pretty good even though it wasn't really an ice cream cake. I hate to say it but the filet was absolutely horrible. Not sure it was even a filet. The crispy chicken was not very crispy. Very disappointing and expensive.

Not a huge menu, but very tasty and well executed. Never had a bad meal and extremely consistent! That's all I could ask for. Went here for a business lunch a few times and never fails to disappoint. Had pretty much the whole menu over the past few meals. Even the desserts rock. Had the steak, leg of lamb gyros w fries, octopus, butter cake, etc.
