If I could give more stars, I absolutely would! Best coffee I have ever had, hands down! The owner is super friendly and provides great service. My husband and I visited this shop everyday for coffee during our 9 day trip to San Diego. I miss it greatly already! Just go, you will not regret it!

I picked this place without too much thought. Just because it was on my way to work, and had a cute name. Im very happy I did. As soon as u walk in there is a BEAUTIFUL xtra large floral canvas. Its absolutely stunning. The shop is small, but charming. Our barista's name was Kari, and she was an absolute pleasure. She gave great recommendations. Our drinks were yummy! I will def be back to this spot. If the owner reads this, you have great taste in art, and staff ?

I have been looking for coffee shops that can do a good matcha. Unfortunately Java Garden did not have that. The matcha drink is very milky and tastes only like vanilla, I could barely detect any matcha and the drink is only slightly tinged green. An authentic matcha should be a darker green and be less milked/watered down. Mostly tasted like a vanilla latte. However service and atmosphere are pleasant, just will not come back for matcha.

This place is absolutely amazing! The food is fantastic, and the drinks are out of this world! I've been a loyal customer of Java Garden since day one, and I just can't get enough of it! Everything about this coffee shop, from the people to the drinks to the atmosphere, is just perfect. It's hands down my favorite spot to grab a cup of coffee. Alena, the owner, is always there, and she is truly an incredible person. I can't praise this gem enough!

Their café au lait with extra sugar, completely satisfied my husband‘s craving for his beloved Cuban coffee! My only request is they bring in monk fruit as a sweetener option as an alternative. I’ve been trying to cure him as his sugar addiction!

I've had very good coffees and teas here. Service is warm and friendly, not snobbish to a coffee amateur like me with questions. They have breakfast food now too.

Really great find: did not expect to find such good coffee out in the “burbs”. Add this one to your regular haunts!!

Wheelchair accessibility: On ground level, wheelchair cut just near entrance.

Great little coffee shop. Went in needing early morning print service at the PrintWithUs kiosk and was able to grab a coffee at the same time. Service was polite, friendly, and all around helpful. Highly recommend!

Locally owned and operated, they even roast their own coffee here in San Diego. Delicious coffee and eats. Beautiful inside and a lovely deck outside with trees.
