Excelente la comida riquisima! Ambiente y lugar muy hermoso!Solo esperamos como 15 min despues de la hora de nuestra reservación, pero todo excelente!!
Nice spots for pics, good music, very attentive service but the food itself not good at all and is very expensive for the portion they give so keep that in mind, it's not the Mexican original taste
We have been many times at the La Jolla location and love the experience and food, but this time, the service from the main server was mediocre at best. Drinks were served without cocktail napkins, hardly came by to check on us, the food was also mediocre- lacked taste and was a bit cold when it came to the table. However, other staff members were great - packed our food, bought chips and cleared the table. We were also celebrating a birthday which was not acknowledged or offered even a small desert (unlike in the past). Really surprised the experience was below expectations.
Everyone should be lucky enough to go just once. If we lived in the area we would come every week! Wonderful spinach enchiladas!!!
I had dinner with my 2 sons and everything was perfect. We had a wonderful time. It's gotten more expensive to eat out, not just at Jake's but everywhere. But I gave them "5" stars.
Great service wonderful tasting food drinks were awesome the restaurant is amazing and with as many customers it was not loud at all I will most definitely be coming back
Way too loud, we could barley have a conversation at our table. And then to bring a scoop of ice cream for our bdays and one of us is vegan.
Our waiter was absolutely amazing kind, attentive, and had the perfect balance of professionalism and charm. Everyone made us feel so welcome, like we were regulars (even though we were a handful group lol) Thank you for making our night extra special you're a true gem!
This restaurant has a fun vibe. The service was excellent. The food is mediocre and astoundingly overpriced.
I took some friends to Javier's restaurant to celebrate a birthday, the food was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was wonderful, but music was a bit louder than I would like, hard to hear the conversation at our table otherwise a great experience.

excellent salads we both enjoyed. The Cobb with Grilled Shrimp and The Steak Salad. service was excellent as well.
Unique food choices; a lot of fish and steak options. The food is good, but expensive. Seafood enchiladas had some chunks of fish, but others seemed too smooth rather than actual fresh shrimp and crab. Guacamole needs an update- very smooth/processed presentation rather than fresh and chunky avocado. The salsa was very good. Service was excellent. Very loud music; difficult to converse and hear wait staff.
It was my birthday third time I gone to Javier's for it and the last time. The food was sub par and tasted like too much salt. The queso fundido was bland and the guacamole was old. My mother complained her food was too salty and the manager rudely said you should have told us you didn't want salt instead of i am sorry never going back
We dined as a party of ten, and every meal was outstanding. The fillets were cooked to perfection, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming. Javier's never disappoints, always a top choice.
The fajita was excellent My guest loved their orders Wad fast efficient and good Our server was dry but very professional and served us Great Good experience thx
