The hot food bar is really good for a quick lunch. The day I went it was Italian-American style dishes and I got a creamy chicken penne, shrimp linguine, and roasted vegetables. It all tasted very good and the ingredient quality and preparation rivaled what you’d find in a nice restaurant, way better than what I expected from this kind of serve-yourself hot food line.

The meat counter is clean and the meats are great. The deli and hot foods are really tasty. This is the only grocery store I enjoy visiting. The employees are also a great bunch of people and it shows.

We were having a short vacation and this was the closest grocery store in our airbnb and we love it coz we found everything we need in this place. Plus the prices are not bad. They also have some booze and good wine if you are looking for some drinks.

I stumbled upon Jensen's after a bike ride around Point Loma. We stopped in for a snack and were blown away by their lunch selection. There are several types of cold sandwiches, paninis and hot food they will warm for you, three selections of hot soup, noodles, sushi, baked goods... On top of that their produce is beautiful, they hold a variety of interesting pantry items and everyone who works there is so sweet and helpful. I'll drive here from South Park every week or so to load up on groceries. Just an overall great shopping experience.

5 stars for prepared foods, deli and hotbar. Tri tip signature sandwich, sloppy joes, list goes on and on for delicious treats. Hotbar used to be ok to sometimes plain not good, but the new Chef Julius has been killing and it was obvious from day one something changed. 5 star for service as well, usually short waits and friendly efficient employees. 4.5 for specialty selection I do wish there was a bit more organic options. 2 Stars because they are price gouging on Jiant tall cans more than expensive liquor stores :( Whoever's idea that was I'm going to find out!

I've been a regular customer of Jensen's for past 4-5 years and overall, enjoy the quality and variety, but I wish they would be clear on their deli hours. Can they at least put up a sign of what the deli hours are? The deli hours don't seem to be the same as the grocery's. I went there on a Sunday, at 6pm, knowing that they close at 8pm and the food, soups, hot food were all gone. Just post the hours somewhere for your customers to know - and don't be rude and indignant if I ask what the hours are!
I love this little store! They have a great selection of everything. Their baked goods and hot food are to die for. The service is always super friendly. I had about 3 people say hi and ask if I needed help during my trip. The elderly man bagging even offered to help me out to my car. It is a bit pricier for certain items, but to me it's totally worth that. I had their thanksgiving meals for Thanksgiving and it was perfect. Their hot food and hot bar always has some great stuff. They even have a fresh orange juice press machine! Why would I go anywhere else?

It’s a cute store with lots of options including a good amount of ready to eat food. However, it is very expensive and we saw that most of the sushi was molded and the raspberries and blackberries we bought were both molded by the next morning. Also the ready to eat food wasn’t the freshest.

Last weekend, I asked an employee that I saw in the parking lot when I could get some of your incredible chili. He went inside and came back and told me that Thursday was the day. So all day today I was looking forward to getting a big container, but when I checked, there was no chili available. I asked at the deli and was told that Friday was the day for chili. But Roberto, the person responsible for that great chili, got me a large container anyway.I'll be back tomorrow for more.You folks are really special at what you do!
