Mediocre at best. We ordered a carne asada burrito. 1. The price on the menu did not reflect what the cashier charged us. I asked if it was tax but it didn't make any sense to pay be .80 tax on a burrito that was priced $11.25 (whatever, these things happen) 2. The female cashier was rude and looked annoyed as we were ordering. (I don't think she asked about the increased price) 3. The burrito was tiny and totally unseasoned. When I called to tell the same cashier that I had just bought a carne asada burrito and that the meat wasn't extra cooked like I asked or seasoned. She explained she's not the one in the kitchen, that I'm the only one who has ever complained and, there was nothing she can do because she didn't cook the food. ??♀️ Terrible service to match the food I guess. Never going back here. Stay away.

My wife is from San Diego, and when we started dating, she took me to this place that she and her family have been going to for years. Their Carne Asada fries and Carne Asada burrito are the only thing we get. I asked my wife and her family, and they don’t order anything else and I am fine with that. We live in Temecula now, but every time we come down, the owner remembers me and I always get an extra burrito for the next day. I know most people will say just go to Tacos El Gordo, which is 2 blocks away, and believe me, I love their tacos, but Jilbertos’ carne asada fries and burrito rivals them!!! Try it out and my sure to ask for extra Red Sauce.
Customer service depends on the mood lol. It's definitely not the Hispanic Hospitality that you would normally get when you're in Mexico. But the food is delicious. Carne Asada fries or chips are fire! The meat has virtually no fat. And always has a good crisp. The tacos everything is amazing! They just need to be friendly.

Overall it's an okay taco shop. Will satisfy your craving, for the most part. Cali burrito does not come with sour cream or guac. Fries are good. Rolled tacos good too. They do have cabeza, which a lot of places don't have and drink selección is good. Also prefer the green salsa over the red.
