It was excellent. I love jimmy John’s and was pleased to taste such a good sandwich after years of not having one. 10/10.

The service was great, the staff friendly and the food, as always, amazing. There is nothing else like their subs. It has got to be the fresh bread. I love Jimmy John’s.

It’s a mixed Dunkin’ Donuts and JJ location. No fault to the worker but it’s one person trying to do three jobs in essentially two stores. It’s slow, inefficient and the quality suffers. Whoever is in charge of staffing needs to reassess what they’re doing here. Likely won’t return.

Jimmy John’s is my favorite sandwich so I’m glad they opened a location in San Diego. The staff is friendly but they made my order wrong. There is very little parking and it’s a far walk to any parking space. I don’t like coming down town. This Jimmy John is right next to a busy trolley station in the most inconvenient location in down town San Diego.

Bad hygiene practices - I've ordered food online from there and lightweight regret it because of my recent discoveries. The first time I actually went inside, the guy took my order with gloves, the same gloves, he began to make my sandwich. But when he grabbed the bread from the shelf, something fell into the lettuce. Then he was using the back of his hand to wipe his nose. Serious red flag. The Mgr (I think) noticed the look on my face, told the guy to move to take orders and he put fresh lettuce. Then today I go, the delivery guy comes in, doesn't wash his hands, gloves up and goes right over to start making food. Oh did I mention no one ties up their hair or wears nets on their beards? I called and the supv said they'd address but I doubt it. I will stick to eating ramen at my desk or starving til I get home. I guess the staff At Jimmy John's doesn't believe in handwashing or sanitation in general.

Love this place but have not been to this location. No parking and inconvenient. Ill keep going to one's in LA when I'm there cause of the one here locally being inconvenient. ?

Service is not the best. They will let you stand at the counter without acknowledging your existence for a couple minutes but if you’re ok with that and not in a hurry you can get a good sub.

I love Jimmy John's and have been waiting for a decade for one to open in San Diego. BUT! This location is just awful. There is no parking anywhere around it. I already got a $42 ticket just picking up an order. Left my car for less than 5 minutes. And there are no delivery options, even though I live 1.5 miles away.

Guess I'll have to wait for another one of those promised 27 locations to open up in San Diego...

You guys are missing out on soooo much revenue by not utilizing delivery services.

12 years of waiting for a Jimmy John’s to breach the outer walls of San Diego county, did not exactly expect this one. Same great sandwiches, thankfully! Service was ok. I showed up during a big lunch rush and they were backed up. The real flaw here is the location. Building is small, like any downtown. Parking is absent, good luck if you don’t live nearby or aren’t already in the area. No indoor seating, no typical Jimmy John’s decorations, no jars of peppers on the wall, just a simple counter and menu. Odd to me that this is what JJ’s chose as their entry to the San Diego market. If you’re reading this and this is your first Jimmy John’s experience, the food is up to par but the ambience is better at any other location (excluding airports). Can’t wait for them to open other SD locations (there’s a whole bunch supposedly coming) so I never have to venture downtown for this one. In the meantime, the subs (and really, the cravings for nostalgia of Jimmy John’s from living elsewhere over a decade ago) really are that good.
