Awesome Kimchi. The staff is ok, we had one was cool, the other seemed racist.
Great food and service!!!
Meat in potato soup felt not fresh, tasted like stale meat almost going bad
Negative stars if possible. Avoid at all cost. Rude waitress. She literally walked away as I was asking questions about the menu to take order of another table.
love it
The restaurant's signature dish, Gamjatang, is delicious, but the staff's service seems a bit lacking in friendliness. In addition, parking spaces are limited during lunch and dinner times, so it is recommended to park on the street.
Good korean food and friendly servers
Our female server was very friendly and attentive, refilling side dishes often. The banchan was really fresh and tasty (great kimchi and potatoes!). They have combos so you can have it all! We got tofu stew + bossam, bulgogi (good portion + marinade - not too sweet) and dolsot bibimbap (nice and crispy). Everything was satisfying with extra veggies in all the dishes. Portions were large enough for leftovers.
The servers at Jomaru Gamjatang were not welcoming at all. Upon sitting down, our table had leftover food particles, which made it clear that the staff hadn’t cleaned thoroughly. I didn’t complain, but it was a bit off-putting. I felt like they were doing the bare minimum to get by. When I asked for an extra Togo bowl for my soup to avoid overflow, the server seemed very stingy and simply poured the soup without asking me, likely because they didn’t want to give me the extra bowl. I asked for togo bowl, the server gave me a very small plastic bowl for Hot Soup.
As for the food, I ordered the Gamjatang, and it was pretty mediocre. The soup was bland, and it didn't compare to the original San Diego location, which I had enjoyed before.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience and don’t think I’ll be coming ba
Food and services are both excellent. Will definitely come back.

Clean restaurant. Outstanding service. Very authentic Korean food. Best dolsot bibimbap in California.
OG gamjatang!! This is where you go when you want real good and clean Korean food!
Staff is very friendly! Highly recommend!
Gamja tang was the same as when I had it in Korea. I was really missing this food, and I finally tasted authentic Gamjatang here. I would visit here again when I have a chance to visit San Diego.
Food portion is good and tasty. Good portions and service is friendly.
