A new attempt, hoping to get better and better.
First time dining here and we visited during Friday night dinner time. We were pleased to find out there was plenty of available parking. The strip mall which JKHP is located in depending on the day/time of week can be VERY difficult to park. We were given one of their booths and promptly served their complimentary Korean side dishes plus our water for the table. We had done a little Yelp research in JKHP prior to driving here and was pretty sure we were going to order their Galbi (grilled beef short ribs) and their Pork Cutlet. After mulling over their menu, we stuck to our original plan and ordered those two dishes mentioned. Wow, we were more than impressed with the taste, freshness, and portion size. Their dining room was clean and orderly, we were checked on by the wait staff regularly. They accept AMEX as a form of payment. We can’t wait to return to try other menu items such as their Bulgogi & Bi Bim Bap.

My husband just picked it up. It leaked so much in the plastic bag. Idk how they pack it but it should’ve been sealed better than this.
I’m upset because now I need to clean up this mess before I eat food. We leave 25min away so we can’t drive back too. Paid so much for this mess. AND We paid extra for rice cakes and potatos.but they weren’t in the soup. They gave us in different bowls raw. I’m not going back again.

Hot soup is generlly nice. Such a nice option for those who love Korean style tang menu.
However, tonkatsu is not a good choice on the menu of Gamjatang place. It tastes a bit overcooked. They did kindly provide the new one, but it tasted slightly overcooked again. Maybe the oil was the problem.
Anyway, I highly recommend this place for Gamjatang.
Delicious authentic Korean food! Had Hot Stone Bibimbap and it was really nice. Cant wait to go back with my husband soon!
If I could give this restaurant a negative 0 review I would. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. My family and I wanted to try a new restaurant and We were treated like low class citizens from the moment we walked in the door. We are not Korean, but didn’t see anywhere that that was a requirement to eat at this establishment. The waitress was rude and treated us like crap from the moment we walked in. Never asked if we wanted anything to drink. Never gave us menus, we happened to have One at the table. We had to call her over to tell her we were new to the experience and asked if she could explain how the menu worked. She hastily did and then walked away, again, never asking if we wanted drinks or an appetizer. We finally ordered and got our food, which again, we had to ask how it worked but eventually just tried to figure it out. We wanted and ordered fried rice with the meal. She told us it came at the end of the meal. So we ate, which she never came by to see how it was or if we needed anything. Finally we said we would like our fried rice (our kids were looking forward to that part the entire meal). She hemmed and hawed and called another server over. We said, we Just Want Our Fried Rice. Our kids want the Fried Rice. They acted as if we asked for something not on the menu. It was horrible. I finally just said please get me our bill, we are leaving. Then she tried to charge us for the fried rice!!!!!! I was livid by this time. We paid and got up and left.
Such a horrible place. Just bc you aren’t Korean, doesn’t mean you can’t eat at a Korean restaurant. Your service was horrible and rude and, thus, made our entire family uncomfortable and we were unable to enjoy any of the food. In addition, we all got sick and had stomach issues after the meal.
Worst experience Ever.
Shame on you as a restaurant.

Super authentic. Just like Korea. Servers were good about educating customers.
Awesome Kimchi. The staff is ok, we had one was cool, the other seemed racist.

Great food and service!!!
Meat in potato soup felt not fresh, tasted like stale meat almost going bad
Negative stars if possible. Avoid at all cost. Rude waitress. She literally walked away as I was asking questions about the menu to take order of another table.
love it
The restaurant's signature dish, Gamjatang, is delicious, but the staff's service seems a bit lacking in friendliness. In addition, parking spaces are limited during lunch and dinner times, so it is recommended to park on the street.
