My fish and chips was nice and crispy. Their Beer special for Happy Hour was priced well for $4 . Definitely, a good beer stop after a trail hike , come check it out. Saturday morning they have Mimosas too!
Great place. I need to sincerely apologize to staff because my friend was way too drunk and we end up getting kicked out. But it was an AMAZING place.
Went in early, didn’t know they had breakfast but they do! My best friend ordered chili cheese omelette, said it was great. I ordered drinks. Service was friendly and amazing.
This is the best local bar you could possibly ask for. The people here are just genuine and wonderful to talk to. They have Extremely well karaoke nights. You can't get a rude bartender in this place. Whatsoever.

It's a dive bar. But I like dive bars. Great drinks, great food and good music. Try the kicking hot wings. Sabroso.
Vegetarian options: Salad. Make sure to say no bacon or no cheese if vegan.

I recall coming here a while back with friends who live in the area. Honestly a very modest but fine pub where you’ll meet a lot of locals. I need to come repay a visit next time in the area.
I recently moved up the street from JP's, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite local spots! Every time I’ve visited, the experience has been fantastic. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially the bartender Lila, who is the absolute cutest. Tonight my friends and I came in craving food right as the kitchen closed, and she whipped up some off-menu sandwiches for us — so amazing!
JP’s has a cozy, laid-back vibe with two pool tables and a TouchTunes. If you're a beer lover, this is definitely the place for you. Plus, they always have weekday specials & events, so be sure to check out their website.

Taco Tuesdays are the best. $2 beef tacos or $3 fish tacos. Mini pitchers of jp red or blonde are $3.50. So 3 beef tacos and a mini picture for $10. 3 to 7pm

Just had fries and a Guinness. They have live music and karaoke. Patrons are friendly enough but I I was the only black person so I can assume it's not visited by Black folks.

I live in the neighborhood. My family has been here for 4 years. We’ve never been here but wanted to try it . So….My 22 old daughter and I thought it would be good to try the local hole in the wall. So we walk in. Nobody bothers to even acknowledge us. Ok…it’s a Friday after 6. We get a four top and start looking at the menu. We sit and sit and sit. Nobody even says they don’t have table service but evidently they don’t. I’m not going to write an extended diatribe but needless to say after another 20 minutes a waitress came up to take my daughter’s ID. 6 minutes later and on and on and on I told her that she could go ***k herself and we walked out. All we wanted was some wings and a beer. I’ve heard they have good wings. Will I find out? Nope. I hope you don’t get the chance. I’m not going back. Too bad. I’d rather give small local businesses my money. But hopefully PJs won’t end up like too many other local establishments here in Tierrasanta

Growing up in tierrasanta I always drove past this place and didn’t think much of it. When I turned 21 I gave it a shot and now I’m here nearly every damn day of the week haha. Drinks are on the inexpensive side, the food on the new menu is delicious and standard bar grub. This is the bar where everyone knows each other and takes care of each other. The bartenders are nothing but lovely to me and I’ve come to make many friends at this place. If you like to play pool they almost ALWAYS have people playing and they also have two league teams based out of the bar. Trivia night Mondays are fun as hell! Many memories made here and I will always be a regular customer!

I ordered $78+ worth of food. Unfortunately it took me longer than 15 minutes to pick up the order. When we arrived, it was to discover the food had been given away for free to bar patrons. Asked to have order remade. Darren laughed, and said it would be extra. Poor service. Darren was rude. No offer to help. Avoid ordering unless you can be there within 15 minutes. This establishment is understaffed, and has servers that have no concept of customer service. Darren was the man who answered the phone, took orders, and was also the bartender. Do not give your money to JP’s Pub. I will never go there again.
Update:
The response below from the owner reflects lack of respect to people that have valid reasons why it took 45 (not 60) minutes instead of 15 minuets to pick up the order. It would have been my fault to eat “soggy food” as was given the reason why the food was given away. The order could have been remade, and paid for. An extra charge shouldn’t have even been said.
I love it when owners try to blame their poor business practices on the customer. Regardless, never “assume”. This experience could have been turned into a positive one, instead of laughing at the customer and embarrassing them. Not a good way to conduct business. The owner’s response shows their true colors, and is the exact reason I won’t return.
