First time here and for being a restaurant bar part of a hotel it has really good options and the food has a particular touch. Tastes are better than average. I tried the burger and its flavour is outstanding from other burger places. Also tried the vegan tacos (3) with roasted peppers and mushrooms with pico de gallo and.they are really good. The combination of flavors make it a whole and good choice for vegans and since it has double tortilla it's a complete meal. I tried the Mai Tai and it was really good.Service was excellent, great vibes from the barman that's also the server. The decorations are elegant and place is clean. A great option if you don't want to risk it for an excellent burger or just looking to fuel before you start enjoying San Diego.

We were staying at The Solamar and decided to pop in here for breakfast on Saturday morning. We were immediately seated and ordered coffee along with our two entrees. We were not in a hurry (since we were on vacation), but after being there for some time, the waitress came up and apologized for the fact that our food was taking awhile. She had mentioned that the kitchen had lost the ticket but she was going to put in the order and they'd fast track it. Because she was so attentive with our coffee refills, we barely had even noticed we'd been waiting; but we were really impressed with her communication to even tell us what had happened. When our food did arrive (Again, not even very late!), it was DELICIOUS. My husband ordered the classic breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast, etc.) and I ordered the Chilaquilles. When we went to ask for our bill, Abigail, the sweetest and kindest waitress, told us our meal was comp'd and she was so sorry for the wait. We were SO impressed with how attentive she was, how kind and how well she communicated about what was going on with our food. We left a significant tip because she was just seriously the best - I asked her name before leaving because I knew we had to give a great review. Give Abigail a raise!

My meal the Bayou skillet was excellent. The sausage was full of flavor eggs were perfect. Crab Benedict was also tasty and wonderful. Service was a little slow. That seems to be the norm. Delightful meal

Great small restaurant next to the Solamar San Diego hotel. Compact offering for breakfast with a warming atmosphere and a first-class service. Their sour dough toast is especially great!

The food was amazing. Everything tasted exactly how it looks in the the Jsix. The Jsix are just right.

Made a reservation here for Sunday afternoon of my best friends bachelorette weekend. There were 6 of us and we found the best table in the place. Comfortable lounge couches, great vibes and definitely relaxing! I had to leave early but the rest of the group stayed for several hours! They do already include gratuity in large parties so that's why I rated the service lower. Our waiter was very friendly but did not check in with us super often. Kind of slow service but that gave us more time to lounge around. Very cool atmosphere, not super crowded perfect place for a relaxing Sunday after a long weekend and will definitely be back!!

Upon check in a waiter seated us to standard table when we literally hang up the phone few hours ago for lounge seating. When we question it the guy literally told us either you take it or you welcome to leave . I thought we hear him wrong but he repeated again to my friend. When we about to walk out another waitress came by and said we have another lounge sofa empty now, let me clean up for you ... she provided great service and save the night for us and perhaps the much needed business for the place. I understand with Covid everyone is stress out, but if you hate your job , don't take it out to your customer and ruin others life!

Went here a while back just for drinks, and decided to go back and try the food. We were say quickly got good food and good drinks while there live band played good music. Great atmosphere and I always like spots like this that not everyone knows about or can find just walking down the street.

American food, yeah, excellent. Food was so yummy. Certainly worth a return visit. This place has a good feel to it. Mood here reminds me of Colorado Springs area.

Came back for a second visit, thanks to perch for the hospitality. The passion fruit drink was wonderful (not pictured). The fromage & charcuterie plate was perfect, the cranberry bread was splendid with fig jam. David was the best server ever. The steak was of wonderful portion, perfectly cooked. Bread pudding was moist and buttery

Had an awesome experience here, both me and my Husbend got the Filet Mignon , it came with asparagus and mashed potato.. the Fillet was as soft as can be, flavorful! I'm not a fan of vegetables but the asparagus was delicious. Mashed potato was de great!

I used to love this place, but they've really gone downhill. The beer selection is still excellent, but the food prices keep going up, while portion sizes keep going down. I ordered the banh mi and finished it in literally 2 bites. It also seems like they've completely stopped serving fries and have switched over to potato chips instead. Disappointing to see a place that used to really fill you up for your money turn into another overpriced small plates spot.
