Our 11 year-old son says, “Out of all the restaurants I have ever been to in my eleven years on this earth, this one is the best by far. The staff are charming, the service is quick, and the food is just the best thing ever. Just the best!!! If I could give this three Michelin stars, I would.”

We asked the chef to do a menu tasting, paired with perfectly paired wine. It was hands down, the best meal I've had in my life. What an amazing experience. My taste buds feel like they just went to Disneyland. Happiness abound. Thank you chef and server. 🍷
We came here for my birthday dinner, and this is easily one of the best fine dine restaurants we’ve been to. Everything was impeccable - the service, the recommendations, literally everything we had was so beautifully complex. Shoutout to Colton for taking such good care of us. Will be back - 100%!

Impeccable - ambience is great, every single one of the staff went out of their way to be friendly, food and drinks were amazing. We sat at the counter right by the kitchen and had a great view

We have regularly been at Juniper for more than 10 years because we like that it’s not the same year after year, as in many restaurants around here, but the present chef (who became the chef after several years there before) is really exceptional: try the scallops, the oyster sisig, the black cod with shiitakes, and don’t miss the Guava dessert!

We had such a great dinner at Juniper & Ivy and will absolutely be back next time we’re in San Diego. The meal started with the House Sourdough, perfectly warm and served with honey butter — simple but done so well.
We tried a few small bites next. The Arancini was the only dish that felt a little average compared to everything else, but the two wagyu sliders more than made up for it — perfectly cooked and served on beautifully baked rolls.
The Chicory and Pear salad was fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the Foraged Mushroom Agnolotti was simply delicious. We finished with the Flat Iron steak, cooked a true medium rare with a bold Korean BBQ flavor that really stood out.
Service was first rate from start to finish — we were so well taken care of throughout the entire meal. The atmosphere was lively without being loud, just the right level of energy to enjoy conversation. A fantastic night all around.

Had dinner here last night, went home and went to sleep & a few hours later I was sick. A shame that a high end place serves food that’s not up to standards. Very disappointing. I will never eat here again, the trust is gone.
Awesome.

One of the best dining experiences I've had. Got the miso black cod, bluefin crudo, and spicy tuna hand roll. Each was world class, layers of flavor, and blew my taste buds away. Service was also great, Isaiah was super friendly and helpful.

This is one of the BEST birthday experiences I've had as a foodie! Sooo many firsts for my taste buds 😋 And the service was impeccable! My friend & I received many complimentary chef favorites which was a blessing. I definitely plan to return & will be telling my loved ones about this place!

I had an outstanding experience at Juniper and Ivy. I was visiting from out of town for a birthday celebration and reached out ahead of time to request a booth and coordinate flower delivery. Communication with the team was easy and prompt, and when we arrived, the flowers were already at the table and our booth was ready. In my opinion, the booth is the best seating option, it’s centrally located and offers a great view of the restaurant while still feeling comfortable and intimate. I truly cannot thank the team enough for making sure everything went seamlessly for the birthday guest.
The food and drinks were top notch. Every dish, from the starters to the entrées, was excellent. The cocktails were refreshing and creative. I ordered the Hair of the Tanuki cocktail and enjoyed it so much that I ordered it again, and others at the table ended up ordering it as well. None of the dishes disappointed. We ordered the spicy tuna handrolls, swordfish skewer, roasted bone marrow with tartare, bluefin crudo, shrimp Thai salad, rigatoni, linguine allo scoglio, and miso black cod, and each one stood out.
Service was attentive and well-paced, and the overall vibe was upscale yet relaxed and youthful. I’ll definitely be recommending Juniper and Ivy to anyone visiting San Diego and would happily return.
