Incredibly delicious German cuisine. It feels just like home. As German tourists, we were feeling homesick and were craving German food after three weeks of eating American cuisine. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff seemed a bit rushed and slightly overwhelmed, but the food more than made up for it. They have German beer and really good Käsespätzle.

The food and beer is excellent. The service is ... laid back ?
Just sit back and enjoy. Rushing is bad for your health anyway

My girlfriend and I came in for lunch, and we were highly impressed. We started with some dinner rolls and a dinner salad. The rolls were fresh and tasty. The salad was scrumptious and the blue cheese dressing was awesome. I could have drank it with a straw, it was that good. Then came the goulash soup. Oh, my, it was so good with a good amount of vegetables and cuts of beef and piping hot, just the way I like it. I could have eaten a bowl of it.
Finally came the Wurst Plate. I cannot tell you which one was my favorite. All were excellent, spiced just right, not too strong with an excellent flavor. The sauerkruat was excellent, a perfect complement to the sausage and the roasted potatoes were amazing and buttery.
We finished with the best apple strudel and ice cream I ever had. Our waitresses was charming, attentive, and adorably German. She helped us choose just what we were looking for.
We left completely satisfied and anxious to come back soon for some of the best German food I've ever had.

It was the slowest service we've ever had.. waited 40 minutes to get dinner after our appetizer. Had to ask someone else to get our waitress and had to go find her to pay the check after waiting 15 minutes for her to come back.

Came here on a Wednesday night we sat inside the restaurant was empty on our side. 45 minutes to get food it was served half cold. No one bothered to check how the food was. Asked for a re fill on the drinks no one bothered. Very disappointing loved it here the first time two months ago but today was just sad.

MUST READ: After over 40 years of attending Kaiserhof with a group of friends (between 7 and 16) we have parted ways. Peter who inherited this from his father Horst is running on desperation mode. Pathetic that he would come out into the dining area "Screaming" (yes we have witnesses) because we were charged each $1 for a roll that some of us never ate or received. He has ZERO customer service capacity and that's why he stays in the kitchen bullying his employees who work long hours with zero overtime. Pay attention Peter.......the California Labor Board will be paying you a visit. More surpises await you for disrespected 8 loyal customers of 40+ years.........over $1.00. Shame on you. You scream your father beat you??? We all heard it and so did many who were not in our group. 4 of our group were woman over the age of 80. Besides just warming up food, do you actually have anything to offer other than your fragile ego and out of control mouth??? In all the years coming there.......you have never ONCE come out and said thank you for your business/loyalty. Your father Horst did and so did Paula your mother. Since you stepped into the world they created for you.......Kaiserhof has GONE DOWNHILL. Won't be long and you will have nothing left other than the property a spoiled brat inherited. Avoid this place. There's better restaurants with much better food than this. I do genuinely feel sorry for the girls who put up with your mysogenistic crap and work overtime WITHOUT GETTING PAID FOR IT. And YOU KNOW IT!!!! Absolute spoiled little baby.

Service was not bad, but it takes a while to order cocktails. So if not in a hurry, then you'll be fine. The food was good. My Paprika veal cutlets with Gravy were a bit salty, but the mashed potatoes helped with the saltiness.
