Kangnam KBBQ is simply great. They have almost all of the items you would expect from a KBBQ spot and more. The entire restaurant is very well maintained, the waiting area is small but nice, they also have a bar that you can visit while you wait if you want. There is a ton of seating to accommodate small and large parties alike. It's a great place to bring your family for a fun dinner adventure. The menu naming convention is a little confusing since both options seem like they are the best version. Not a problem, just look at the menus and pick the one that has what you want to eat.The quality of the meats is excellent. Even the simple things like brisket are top-notch quality. The portion of rice that you get every order is smaller than you would expect. The salad is a little bland and not really for using as a lettuce wrap with the BBQ, but still very enjoyable. They offer a bunch of veggies to grill as well.Lastly, the service is the quickest out of any restaurant visited in a long time. The whole operation is well staffed, timely, and polite. It's small but noticeable. There is plenty of parking nearby as well as wheel chair accessible parking. There are curb ramps right up to the sidewalk as well.Vegetarian options: If you had to, there are plenty of tasty things you can have here. You will be surrounded by animal products.Dietary restrictions: You can find something for almost every diet.Parking: Lots of parking. Large parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Great place to bring the family if they enjoy the atmosphereWheelchair accessibility: Yes. It is.

Food service ambiance all were great! By far the best Korean bbq in SD. Possibly best I've ever had. The sides were great and the meat quality was top notch.

We called ahead to tell them we were coming for a birthday dinner.... We got there... ate.... Once the bill came they said they wouldn't honor the free birthday dinner because they now required 8 paid dinners

The staff was courteous and made sure we were attended to. Really enjoyed the portions as it allows you to keep ordering at the AYCE and try a lot.

The quality of the food is great, however, the service is just okay. This place is a favorite of my son, as he eats a lot every time we visit. It is always crowded, and at some point, we had to wait for an hour.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon around 3 pm and there was less then a 3-minute wait! Me and my partner chose the Premium menu. Food: 5/5 Honestly the quality of the food was spectacular! I really like how they offer boneless galbi and a marinated teriyaki beef belly. Those were my top picks! Also, I would highly recommend getting the jalapeno slices with garlic and ssamjang! It pairs perfectly with any meat. I usually reach for this sauce more than the other sauces. I also like how they have tteakbokki (spicy rice cakes) which you have to cook on the grill. Surprisingly they have a lot of food options which makes this place differ from other kbbq places in San Diego! Service 5/5: The service was fast and the servers always came by to change our grill or take our order without us having to ask! Amazing food quality and service.

Put my name on the wait list last night, party of 4. Waited over 30mins. Kept seeing many people who came after me get seated. When I asked the servers they just kept telling me to wait. Not a great experience, especially since it was my birthday. We just left after 45 mins seeing tables coming after us get tables. Never even received a text that our table was ever ready.

Cooking your own meals is a fun twist to dining out. I tried their pork belly dish, which was delicious. The servers were friendly and helpful, enhancing the experience. However, there were minor cleanliness issues under our table and plates. Overall, a unique dining experience with tasty food, but could improve on cleanliness.

The one star im giving this review is based on my overall experience. I will start by saying. The food quality was great!!! My wife and I along with my family had zero issues with the food. Now onto why this review is one star. 1) We walked in to the restaurant and NOBODY greeted us,acknowledged us or even asked if we needed any help. I waited around for about 10 minutes while countless employees kept walking by me and not saying anything before i realized there was an ipad that i had to join a waitlist. Thats ok. I get it. I would have liked if someone maybe took two seconds to just say "hi theres an ipad you can enter your name on" 2) There were soo many employees but nobody specifically assigned to help they kind of were just going table to table, which personally i think was inefficient. 3) there was a leak in the roof that kept wetting my wife and I. We mentioned this 4 times to different servers and their answer each time was ohh i know... . It took about 25 minutes for somebody to finally come get my credit card to pay. I know this review may sound like im just complaining but im not. These were legit reasons on why my review for this establishment is low. Again the food was amazing but if you need anything be prepared to wait. We have been to different Korean bbq establishments and the service here was by far the worst. I don't know if the manager was busy or just not there but maybe on a different day our experience will be different.

Food was fine but the service was horrendous. They don't know how to run it. Most of their workers are lazy and just chit chat with each other all day instead of paying attention on their customers. One girl was busy flirting with a customer and she took a long time to take my order, and when she took my order she totally and completely forgot it. Do better service wise
