Service was not great. Had to ask for ginger and wasabi for my rolls. Soy sauce had a fizzy taste. Rolls kept falling apart for everyone in my group who ordered rolls.

Worse sushi place in La Mesa. We ordered through doordash following the menu and descriptions in there and got a completely different order for the same price. When we called, they told us it was doordash fault and we needed to speak with them. The lady on the phone was very rude and kept cutting me off. Save your money and time and find a better place.

I had an udon soup that was missing flavor, it was like noodle water with a few things thrown in. Service was ok. One positive though, they have the cleanest, nicest bathroom I've ever seen in a place like this.

Had a wonderful impromptu family outing at Kawaii Sushi. This was my family and I, first time out at a restaurant with our newborn. The staff was professional and wonderful, we felt like family! Atmosphere was very nice, our 13day old little one was not disturbed at all. Food was 10/10 delicious, i'm mad i didn't take pics...the garlic edamame was great... the kids chicken katsu plate was everything!!!Def well balanced bento style dish. I ordered the crispy onion roll, my first time having sushi in 10 months and it was amazing!!! Smoothies we ordered strawberry and a mango... both were great as well. Will patron this establishment again!!

Exceptional rolls several unique ones. I love tuna and they have several options to choose from.
We were sad when Arigato Sushi closed, but Kawaii has been a wonderful replacement. The staff is most welcoming, the sushi is always fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is calm and clean, and they have some good dine in deals. I keep meaning to go back and try their smoothies!
