We've been to the Kensington Cafe a few times during our visits to San Diego and it is a great spot for breakfast. This place is quaint and friendly. Service is friendly and fast. Food selections are healthy and delicious. Excellent coffee and drink selections too.
This is an awesome place to have a very delicious breakfast... Strongly recommend.We were visiting San Diego & before heading to LA we made some search for a breakfast restaurant.. & Kensington Café was on the top.They have all kinda great options..We had baked French toast, eggs, açaíAll dishes were soo yummy.The service was excellent.. Super friendly staff.

It was a late Sunday Brunch excursion but we got a table in 15 mins which was cool! Loved the atmosphere. Server forgot my drink, which wasn't that big a deal, but when I got it it was no Bueno. Red Beer wasn't very good. The Asada Bowl was decent but lacked a bit of flavor. Kinda bland and I needed to add hot sauce. My wife and daughter loved their meals. I'll definitely be back though for another try.Kid-friendliness: Crayons for the kids.

I came here for breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised. From the onset the host was incredibly nice. We ordered chilaquiles and lox, which were both fresh and delicious. For coffee, we got the Mexican Mocha and the Lavender Latte. The Mexican Mocha was a little on the less sweet side, but both drinks had a very nice flavor. Everyone who worked at the restaurant, including the servers, were incredibly attentive. They had live music during this time which I’m normally not a fan of but it was very chill and the singer was actually quite good.The environment was also super cute. Everything was clean and trendy.I’d 100% come back if I was in the area more!

Best breakfast in town. Amazing vegan substitutions including just egg and tempeh. Favorite breakfast are the Chilaquiles, it’s the only place I’ve seen that can make it vegan

I went for breakfast there, they were not attentive or engaging while I was there, I was the only black person at the restaurant , they were because of my skin color. The waitress never showed up until I ask for the receipt , there is another lady as well who also another server , she was wearing a jean jumpsuit , try her best to avoid my table, non verbal behavior tells a lot about a person character. , this place is racist I requested to speak to the manager while I was leaving and made her aware how I felt about her restaurant. . I told her that in the medical field that from what I know I do not give care base on people skin color, I paid like everybody else and expecting the same service.. I also emphasized that people who rendered bad customer service don’t deserve tip. I told the owner that she go to Morning Glory restaurant and see how things works. Racist people are most likely to be very ignorant, non educated, not diplomatic and makes poor judgment.

I love it here ! It's a cute safe & environment to bring you loved ones or your friends !! The service is great, they're friendly and always have a great attitude, and the food always hits the spot. ( I recommend the hash bowl it's so good!! ) .
So tacky. They don't even have real avocados, just a pre made mix. No apologies. They don't accept Amex, no apologies. Signs of a struggling business and cutting corners. So disappointed, not what it used to be.

omg so so so so goood. i got the hash bowl and it was fantastic. i have tastebuds like a six year old and i was eating it uuuuuuuppp. definitely should've been warmer for a cozier vibe but everything else was fantastic. best chai i've ever had.
