My roommate and I have been coming here for a while, it's easily one of our favorite regular spots. The atmosphere is stylish and gives off great vibes and always feels welcoming. The food is always fresh coming from local California farms. The drink menu is solid with all of the staples and some with added twists. The owners Chris and Jenn are amazing, they and their staff are always kind and provide incredible service. Other points to consider are the burger of the month, a rotating culinary delight often themed and always delicious, and the establishment holds many different events from art shows, drink and paint, trivia and so many others. Honestly, it's always a great place with friendly people. Chris and Jenn are leaders in the
community and work to not only provide delicious food, and a great experience but also work hard to make the community better. Would recommend, and do recommend to everyone and anyone. 5/5 stars.

My first time at Key & CleaverI really want to like their burgers but it's too salty & dry. And only guy bartender was not nice towards me & ignore me the whole time even at the end when I already paid to go burger & all I want is to get it. Thank goodness for Jennifer who took my order & took care of my drinks. Thank you Jennifer for going above & beyond. Guy bartender can use a training on how to provide excellent quality service. Seems he listens to everybody white.

Fries were bomb so were the burgers, was debating between the Smash Burger and the Burger of the month, Jordan the bartender recommended the Burger Of the Month, which I'm happy he did, it was a Bavarian Burger Werst with a sort of Oktober Fest theme. The owners seemed heavily involved with the community and Jordan seemed delighted to be serving here. I plan to come back and would even recommend this spot to a friend looking for a quick bite and a relaxing drink!

I had the black and blue burger!!! One of the best burgers I ever had. It came with homemade rosemary fries. The burgers are grass finished and unbelievably tasty. I also had one of there old fashioned drinks.. They have homemade bitters that go in drink that's amazing.

A hidden gem! This hole in the wall burger joint has phenomenal burgers & all local beer! A few highlights include the best service I've experienced in months (years?), beef tallow French fries ?, a rooftop deck, and gourmet burgers with high quality beef. They love what they do and it shows! It's a must visit if you like burgers (who doesn't like burgers?!)
Kid-friendliness: They had coloring & kids menus, and were so kind to our kids! They didn't have high chairs.
Best happy hour. Love the wings. Great selection of beer. Did I say I loved the wings?

I had to post this before I finished because its so good, I also was welcomed to this place as soon as I walked in. It might not look as appealing for my picture but it is, drinks are also great.
Small spot with a big bar and about five tables, all full when we arrived. Great decor and strong AC. The menu features various burgers, including seasonal specials. My husband got the Black & Blue Burger, and I had the Swiss Mushroom Burger. The guy taking our order was confident, highlighting their local ingredients – beef from Julian, buns from La Jolla, and homemade sauces.
I ordered my burger well-done, expecting it to be dry, but it was surprisingly juicy! The wait was about 20 minutes, but totally worth it. The portions were big, and my burger had mushrooms and garlic cream sauce—so delicious, I finished every bite. My husband loved his too, saying it's one of the best burgers in San Diego. Even the fries were unique, somewhere between fries and wedges. Highly recommend!

The cocktail menu is unique and incredibly well done, in addition to the wide selection of local craft beer. Can’t wait for them to bring back Sunday Brunch! We also enjoy trivia Tuesdays. The owners truly care about the community they serve and we couldn’t be luckier to have this awesome restaurant in the neighborhood!
