A one of a kind place! I hope they'll be able to reopen!

I've been coming here since I was a student at UCSD, and the quality of food has not wavered in that time (10 years). Perhaps not the most authentic place for sushi in town, but incredibly delicious. They have a wide selection of sushi rolls. Their lunch bento boxes are wonderfully portioned and diverse with delicious Japanese classics. Their yakisoba and ramen I have not personally sampled in sometime, but I hear good things from other patrons. In the midst of pandemic they are doing their utmost to comply with regulations: barriers between all the seats and limited seating as well. Personally, I'm opting for takeout in this time of trial, but I have never had cause to question their table service pre pandemic. Their dinner entrees are also delicious, offering a larger portion and more courses compared to their lunch fair. Their food brings me comfort in a time when we all need a little something to get us through the week.

Excellent service and wonderfully fresh sushi! The staff went above and beyond cleanliness and care.

great food, good portions, wonderful staff and quick to prep and serve the food. a great plus is that the presentation is superb! don't know if it's the authentic Japanese flavor, but I honestly don't care, its pretty good and that's enough for me !

Cool concept. I was brought here for a light lunch with my co-workers and boss during our conference in CA. You get to select a number of different sushi rolls, then you are seated at a bar where you watch the sushi chef prepare it. They serve one full roll which is cut into bite sizes. It's very quick service even though there was a line up outside. It's a cross between fast food service and sit-down restaurant. We were in and out quickly. No idea about the cost since it was a business lunch. If you want a different way to experience sushi, this is a good place to try.

Yesterday was the first time we came to that good restaurant. But It is surely not the last time. We had great time with the attentive service, with the superb cuisine and booze and with the friendly charge. We will surely go back there in a short time.

Decent sushi at great prices. Their happy hours are absolutely killer! Gets a little rowdy with UCSD students later at night.

I don't know what happened to the menu here, but it seems the majority of the sushi rolls are baked, tempura, or imitation crab. It was so noticeable that I asked if something had happened to effect the supply of tuna (or yellowtail or salmon). Saw a few rolls with seared tuna. The sushi chef ended up making me a chef's choice roll with raw fish because I couldn't find one... ?

I will give this good review based on my first visit. The sushi had great flavor the fish was fresh and the rolls were huge! And I mean. Huge compared to many other places in San Diego! Everything was delicious including the tempura sushi and salad! Glad I found this place if you ask me I will be back

We eat sushi basically everywhere we travel to. Ki was by far the best tasting sushi we have eaten in a while, possibly ever. Ordered the spicy garlic edamame, the spicy girl roll, and the Baja rainbow roll. All were delicious! Staff were all very friendly and accompanying. Will return when back in the area.

Sushi establishment operated by Koreans. The quality of the fish ranges from good to ok, and their rolls are alright. The baked rolls stand out from the rest. Prices have been creeping up over the years, but it is the best of the bunch in town unless you are willing to drive out and spend significantly higher amounts of money.
