Kilowatt Brewing Ocean Beach

Kilowatt is not just a brewery, it's an experience. Endless blacklight paintings and games to play, easy to spend a couple hours there. The beer is some of my personal favorite because they are one of the rare breweries that does not have 90% IPA options. They have two belgians on tap (dubbel and triple) which is super rare and which I appreciate. They also will have a barrel aged Christmas ale for the holidays and some other fun unique ones throughout the year.

Brewery is cool af inside

The male beertender ruined the entire experience for my group. He seems to think he is better than everyone else & had a terrible attitude. The group next to us even noticed how rude he was being. The decor is super fun & love the games.

Brew Doodle on Thursdays 6-10pm

The place itself is awesome, good vibes, cool decorations, great music, plenty of games...
The problem is they only serve beer. Really not a fan of beer, too bitter, something sweet and fruity with vodka on their menu would make me truly love this place.

I always feel guilty when I can’t leave a great review. This is a very fun place. I love the music, the location is great and the staff were very nice. But the beer we had just wasn’t good. We had a K Pop and a Strawberry beer. (I can’t recall the name). Both beers were very flat, and dull. No head, no bite, not much flavor, and no complexity. Ok. That’s harsh, but I hope it’s taken constructively. Many microbreweries focus on variety but they overstep quality. The price was very fair, but I didn’t feel inspired to finish either of our beers. They just seemed liked colored, cold water. It didn’t feel like I was drinking beer. Empty calories. I’d scale down the selection list and focus on perfecting the basics first. Just my two cents. I wish them well though. Very cool place.

The psychedelic place for beer in Ocean Beach San Diego. Wide selection of various brews with lots of great Belgian choices. I appreciate that they had non-alcoholic beers too. The colorful decor is incredible and the music is righteous. Just now they played Iggy Pop followed by Led Zeppelin. The staff was very friendly especially for such a hip place. They have great outdoor seating for you can see all the action going on or sit inside in the psychedelic sections. You have to visit Kilowatt if you're in Ocean Beach.

Great atmosphere for ADHD and trip friendly. Walking out and back onto the street was like stepping out of a dimensional pocket, will definitely recommend to my friends. Good vibes. Wish id taken photos.

Excellent Customer Service

Super cool spot, lots of fun things to do while you sip your delicious drink. I am not a big drinker so I really appreciate that all the beers can be ordered in smaller sizes too. Loved the alcoholic slushies as well. It's just a really cool spot to check out!!!

Try the peach cobbler imperial ale. Very peachy. Fun games and 3d art.
