The Caesar salad is good, his biscuit/gravy was decent though wouldn't get again, double cheeseburger was still great and the pancake (our first time getting it) was SO GOOD!!! It was fluffy and had so many diff textures. The creamy whipped cream, the caramelized banana slices and the crunchy cashews/coconut flakes mmmmm. The best pancake i've had honestly. Next time we'll get the patty melt, our usual, with tomato soup and try the breakfast english muffin sandwich. Great that they offer their brunch AND full menu weekend mornings. This place had a really cool edgy/moody vibe and interior. The cocktails were great. I regret not ordering the egg roll burger - my friend got it and it was amazing. I got potato app which was good and came with a good creamy dip, and 2 different types of skewers. I really liked one (right side of my pic) and really disliked the other (left side of my pic). Our first experience at Kindred. Heavy Metal music playing fairly loudly was a surprise, but a fun change of pace. The inside of the restaurant is very eclectic, with a variety of seating options. We sat in a booth behind the bar, table 73. We love good vegan dishes and Kindred had some variety, some spice, big flavors, love! Our server was great! She welcomed us and explained the menu in detail. Started with drinks, the Pilsner is on draft is quite tasty, two kefta skewers, yum. Our entrees were delicious, egg roll burger, fries, doom bloom shrooms, Caesar salad and the finale of dessert, pumpkin cheesecake and cannolis. Very tasty for being all vegan. The place was hopping for a Tuesday evening. We shall return.
Communal dining was not my favorite for a date night. The appetizers were delicious and the drinks were SO good. Didn't love the carbonara dish. Decor and design elements around the restaurant are really unique and intriguing. Music is definitely a vibe! Service was great and other customers were really friendly.
My favorite spot! The drink menu is super clever and fun, but my favorite is the espresso martini. I have not had anything bad. My favorites are the skewers (especially the bbq yuba), the doom bloom, and the cosmic knots. We've also tried the smashburger, the egg roll burger, the carbonara, the tomato soup, and the heart and soul. All delicious! A truly amazing experience, even if you aren't vegan.
I love going to Kindred, very festive for the holidays but not over the top. All the food was amazing and the drinks are top notch! Highly suggest for any Vegan Vegetarian or everything in between!
The theme of the restaurant is somewhat death metal ,wrestling vampire slayer ,Kitch with a dash of glam cats!š± there is no place Iād rather rather be!
LOVED this spot! The drinks were amazing and the food totally exceeded our expectations. The skewers and the eggroll burger were our favorites!
Kindred has a gothic metal vibe, with atmospheric decor and music, presented in a subdued enough way to appeal to a broad customer base. The food and drinks were creative and delicious, with festive seasonal specials. We were especially impressed with the care they took with food allergies - we felt safe and cared-for. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. Overall, a wonderful experience and we plan to return soon. As a note, parking is limited in the area, so be sure to arrive early enough to search out a space!
It was our first time to this restaurant. The food was very tasty and delicious. The mixed drinks were also delicious. The service was excellent and we will go back again. We highly recommend it.

The food was amazing and the vibes were top notch. Our waitress was kind and very accommodating for my daughters many allergies. Would go back
Delicious fresh vegetarian food. The seitan skewers are unreal. Had the BBQ and chimichurri. The bowl (warlock) was so fresh and unique. Full of flavor. Would make a special trip from north county to visit again!
This place was awesome. Great vibe and the eggroll burger was delicious.
Kindred is my favorite restaurant in San Diego. The food here is always great (but please bring back the BBQ Jackfruit sandwich š), the staff is amazing, the music is killer, and the vibes are immaculate. Nick, Brandon, and Raya are the best and friendliest people and you are in great hands if they help you out with anything. I go here any chance I get! Hardcore will never die, but you will. So go to Kindred ASAP!! š¤š»šš¤š»
I enjoy all my visits to Kindred! The grilled cheese and tomato soup really hit the spot on a Tuesday night.
