This is our family's favorite "go-to" spot to spend an evening. It checks all the boxes. We always get friendly service, an extensive selection of beers, and a menu that lets each one of us find exactly what food we're in the mood for. It's got a great vibe and it's fun to be in the mix during SDSU games. They are a local treasure. I highly recommend the tater tots loaded or the brussel sprouts.

Parking: Tons of parking and big spots!

Kid-friendliness: My 24 and 25 year old kids love it. However, I see kids of every age are always there.

I am not someone that leaves bad reviews for independent businesses because I believe in supporting them. In also work in the craft brewing industry and I know how hard breweries struggle to maintain customers in a saturated market.

That being said, I have been to KnB twice over the past two years. The first time I went for beers and had noticed an old IPA (2 years old) in the cooler and let them know. They took the beer off the shelf and said it was a rare occurrence. All good.

I went back in last week to meet some friends for drinks and snacks. The restaurant reeks of old stale fryer oil, at least by the kitchen where we sat. But the reason for my complaint was that my friend who is not a regular beer drinker went over to the cooler, found some beers, paid for them, and when he came back I took a look. The beers were both over one year past their code date (expired). When I took him back to try and find a replacement, I could not find any beer cans on the single beer shelf that were suitable to sell. I even found an IPA that I personally brewed in 2020! IPA degrades significantly at 90 days, and this was a 4 year old beer. Several from breweries that went out of business over a year ago!

This is unacceptable and irresponsible for both the restaurant and the distributor to allow these beers to sit that long. Breweries cannot be everywhere and once someone tries a bad beer, they won’t go for another from that brewery. Shame on this restaurant/liquor store for being a part of the problem.

Placed a $200+ pickup order. It wasn't ready until 30 minutes after the pickup time. They didn't offer to comp anything or even bring us water. We had to sit out on the patio where numerous tables had been left unbussed (8 by the time we left and we never saw someone come clean up). We had to pay and tip beforehand. Very disappointing. Will never take out here again. For such an expensive order and long wait the least they could do is give us water while we wait. Even fast food places will give free sodas for small waits.

I did not like the service and the lettuce in the salad turned black and was sticky. I will not order from here again and I will not eat here again. I do not recommend it to anyone.

The echo of every noise in the restaurant was just too much to handle. I didn’t order, I wish I could tolerate the sound enough to order something. It LOOKS good

Great spot with great food and drinks. Dog friendly. They were out of what I ordered to start with but pivoted nicely.

Good staff. Limited menu with marginal overpriced food. Not a good sign when you have to explain to the cook how to make a grilled cheese sandwich and I'm not kidding. Cocktails prices high as well.

Only thing steak pic cut up on wood board was deceiving, not offered when I went there as it was a special for a party. Just for advertising. Food was unexpectedly good. Lived the fresh vegetables over the main course. Had a party of 3 females next to us who made enough noise w/ their chatter, hooping& laughter for six!
