Strawberry matcha tonic was delicious
Im a native and I've never been to this place before and I can proudly say I was missing out. It has cozy, boho atmosphere and amazing, friendly staff. The food and drinks are tasty and accommodating. Love it and would come back
Nice little spot hidden in the city.
I had the avocado toast and a drip coffee, and both were really tasty. And locals kept stopping in and chatting with the friendly staff, so the vibe was cool too
The XL avo toast is the best avo toast I've ever had. Only sad it ended too fast :)
The avo toast was amazing
Cute quiet corner for lunch and coffee. Can calmly enjoy reading a book while enjoying a bustling city view.
My group just stopped here for a quick drink before heading out to Balboa Park, and the drinks were very tasty. I tried the taro smoothie, and my friends got coffee, and we loved it all! Everything was reasonably priced for the area—I paid about $9 for my smoothie.
Some other people in the cafe ordered food, which looked delicious. I’d love to come back the next time I’m in San Diego for breakfast! The cafe area is so cute (a bit small, and might not have tables available if you stop by at a busy time) and it’s located in a very walkable and accessible area. If you’re staying at the Westin hotel across the street, you simply must stop by!
Kuma Cafe is a delightful modern eatery in downtown SD. I happily award Kuma a maximum Triple Yum (yumyumyum) score for the deliciously yummy toasted ham and cheese sandwich. I washed it down with a small earl grea tea on my way to the harbor. thank you team kuma...yumyumyum!
Quick and very friendly service! Coffee flavour was balanced (not overly roasted; a bit fruity). Açai bowl was a hit both days we got it, and the banana chocolate chip bread was fantastic (moist, not overly sweet, light and not dense). And didn’t charge me an arm and a leg for oat steamed milk for my kid!

Excellent Acai! Will come back!
Great standards drinks as well as specialty options! Awesome staff, plus they even have a punch card!
Good coffee and drinks! I had a tasty cortado, the milk a steamed a bit too hot, but still drinkable. I tried the keto smoothie. Not sure if I would get it again. I did finish it but would to try something else if I visit again.
Food was excellent. Excellent service at the register. We had avo toast and rosemary bread egg sandwich. Rosemary bread was too good.
I absolutely loved my specialty avocado toast, I ate it up in 30 seconds. My cappuccino was very very good. I decided to order the kale smoothie, and I loved it as well. The service was friendly and everything came out in a timely manner :). They have outdoor seating, too. In the center of downtown so it’s close to a lot of things
