We went to order at 2:20pm on a Saturday. We were the only ones in line. It took 30 minutes to get our to go order. Other people got their order before us who ordered after. We only ordered a katsu bowl, korean chicken and a garlic shrimp plate for takeout.Drove all the way home and the garlic shrimp was terribly prepared and nothing like I've been served at any of the other locations. The shrimp were unpeeled, not deveined and fried to a crisp. The shrimp under the peel is hard as a rock. The black vein waste was stuck fried to the shrimp. There was no garlic sauce. It is inedible. I'm incredibly disappointed.

The placed looked shutdown because of the lack of lights and people at the front, but somebody came out and helped me. I ordered the chicken katsu curry and it took about 15 minutes to make. While that is a while, they gave me an ABSURD amount of food for $12.99. It would've easily fed 2 people and the stuff was fresh and piping hot. Thank you to whoever gave me that much food. The cashier was also nice, but I didn't get her name :(

Worst food I have. I ordered the Kalua pork with cabbage and it was too salty that the rice and the macaroni salad became salty, it was hard to eat it. I like L&L because they are the only place that reminds me of Hawaii and Kalua pork and cabbage is my favorite, because it's like a barbecue pulled pork or carnitas or lechon. I was so disappointed that I just threw it out. When I got there there was only two people ahead of me ordering food and it took them a while to get the order and the line in Panda Express is at the door, but they got done and eating before I received my food. I think there's only two people working. This is in a food court so there is no ambience and the store is not like the other restaurant.

I have visited this place several times, but I was always disappointed by their service. They seemed to be behind schedule and unprepared to serve customers. The food quality was also poor and made me feel sick. I wonder if they used old or improperly cooked ingredients. I think the management should adjust the work hours to make the daily process smoother. This place is on a military base, so I expected a higher standard of work. I hope the management and corporate will intervene and fix the problems before this place gets worse.

I read many of the OLD reviews and would have agreed with them back then. NOW this is a GREAT eatery. I have returned after 3 year of not eating here to find EXCELLENT FOOD and Service. The new owner and lady who runs this location really has this place top notch now. Three meals in the past three weeks and every one was fantastic. This location is by far the best L&L I have eaten at. KUDOS to the new manager/owner on making this place great. Keep it up !

No flavor in Mac salad, chicken katsu, or katsu sauce. The katsu sauce was watered down, then corn starch added to thicken it. Glue sauce was terrible. Chicken was cooked perfectly, but had no flavor. Very disappointed.

Similar to the other chain restaurants in Hawaii. The only one i found different was in Laie. My go to for katsu curry fries plate lunch! Maybe 5 million calories, but totally worth it.

They were incredibly slow. The other vendors had long lines, which were cleared before the few people ahead of me were cleared. I got the food for a friend, so I didn't eat it. But it looked very dried out. The guy behind the counter seemed frustrated, the woman appeared to have an 'I don't care' attitude. So if she doesn't care about getting helping customers, I don't care about eating there again.

Got a mixed BBQ lunch plate.I was very hesitant and careful leaving this review.First of all, the quality of the meat was very poor. Beef didn’t taste fresh, it was tough to chew on (lots of tendons), and seemed like the meat was re-used over several days. And had a funky after taste. Chicken felt like chewing on a rubber. Too salty.Second, sauce basically covers all the flaws that would have been revealed without it.Lastly, found human hair (long and wavy) in my food. This is just my personal opinion— I tried this place in the span of couple months and the quality seemed to be degraded every time I try this place. Nothing like L&L off base. I guess being on-base means little to no competition amongst other franchises.

First time trying Hawaiian Barbecue. I ordered the Chicken Katsu. Cooked to perfection with a very large portion and served with Katsu sauce. Very pleased with the meal and flavor.

Combo plate was too much for me but what the heck, can't waste a good food!

Hidden in a side mall, this L&L is sure to please, wish I knew about it earlier. I ordered the loco moco, one of my favorites, it was very flavorful and a good sized portion. I saw a sign for Huli huli chicken, got to get that next time. Also ordered the manapuas and Hawaiian Sun beverage, great tasting!
