I've had samples of their ceviche at an event and finally dined here back in June. The vibe is really clubby and there is also outdoor seating. Since it was cold and sprinkling, we sat inside. Hubby got a Negra Modelo and I opted for a mocktail. We shared the chicharron de pescado, La Barca shrimp, a whole fried fish, and both of their aguachiles. The chicharron was tasty and whole fish was nicely cooked. The shrimp was sauteed in a diabla sauce, which wasn't too spicy. The mango aguachile was my favorite! The black aguachile was good too, but the shrimp was too raw for me. We did relay this to our server and he was appreciative of our feedback. He recommended some desserts to us, so we got both! I liked the fried ice cream as well as the churros with ice cream!

First time at this fairly new Mexican Seafood Restaurant. Place is decorated in a very nautical theme, as the menu would suggest. They have a full bar, which I sat at, with lots of good variety of alcohol and about 10 taps of beers and numerous bottles. I had a a couple Mexican Lagers, that paired well with my food. Started with the CHICHARRON DE PESCADO. Which is batter fried Red Snapper, served with spicy dipping sauce, some sliced cucumber and lime wedges.. I told the bartender that this is the ultimate bar snack. Salty, flavorful fish nuggets with a good amount of heat. Pairs great with cold beer! Then had an order of Grilled Shrimp Tacos on flour tortilla's with sides of rice n beans. The tacos were slightly bigger than street taco size, 2-3 bite tacos, but the flavor of the shrimp was large. Really good. Rice and beans were fine, nothing spectacular. As mentioned in most reviews, there is no on premises parking. There a re a bunch of strip malls down the block, which is where I parked, or the building on the corner with t big massage parlor seems to be a good place as well. They have TV's at the bar to watch a game, a nice patio out front for when the weather warms up. Overall, a solid seafood and cocktail restaurant near the Sports Arena. I'll head back for the Surf n Turf Burrito, which looks great.

So happy we decided to try this place out. Food was amazing. Shrimp ceviche, mojarra and the surf and turf tacos. The food was delicious and everyone was super friendly. The place is so pretty inside too. Great atmosphere. Gonna have to plan a trip out here again.

Five stars all the way. First time for my coworkers and I for an afterwork hangout. The vibe is super chill and I love how clean the place is. The servers were great and very patient. Once the food came out everyone loved everything they ordered. The comment my coworker made on a text was " someone's Grandma is definitely in the back cooking". Will be back most definitely!!!!

It was our first visit to this restaurant we had heard great comments about their food and great happy hour Everything was delicious, the salsas , the guacamole , the fish chicharrón and of course their Micheladas are out of this world I ordered the Mango Aguachile and it was the best aguachile I've had in San Diego (spicy of course so be careful make sure you Can handle habaneros) almost finished the whole thing my friends ordered the mojarra and the pulpo so delicious both of them Bibi our waitress was super attentive and on top of things she made about 30 trips to our table to make sure we had everything we needed thank you BIbi we appreciated the great service We'll ll definitely be back and try more of the other items on the menu

Service was really good always attentive to our needs and if our food tasted well and if we needed anything. Ambiance was nice music and fun. Food wow! Not a seafood eater but aguachile negro was amazing. Camarones cucaracha sauce was also very good. I can't wait to go back and try their tacos.

La Barca was a 10/10 experience, the food portions were all shareable and everything tasted amazing. I loved their decor and under the sea vibes, the staff and service were great and kept checking on our table to make sure we were good at all times. Would highly recommend the Surf'n'turf fries which are HUGE. Definitely will be back soon!

This place should be packed every night! It is the best Mexican seafood place in town. Great food, great drinks, great ambiance, and all for a very reasonable price! The fish is top notch. As good as anything that I have had south of San Ysidro. But the bonus is that even the non-seafood dishes are great. One of our party did not like seafood and went for the fajitas [I hate even writing that word], but I tried it and it was great. Jicama salad was also great! Drinks were great. And EVERYTHING was very reasonably priced. Service was also top notch! The only reason this place isn't overbooked is because of parking. I was concerned too. But it was not a problem. There are plenty of places to park. Don't be afraid of the signs. Businesses that are closed are not going to tow you or cite you. Let's make this place a success. We need a locals place like this!

Great seafood. We had the whole fried fish and octopus. Amazing. The fish filet in garlic was not special but also good. We would come here again for sure. Parking is difficult yes but had a few spots in the back.

My son told be he had been here with his mom a couple weeks ago & was served. Please put up signs or list it on the your website. Made a 20 min drive to get here. Thank you.

The most amazing staff you will ever meet!! I went in on Tuesday, Eddy was my bartender, he was so amazing. I was then invited to karaoke night on Wednesday, Jorge and Gabriel were amazing bartenders as well. The atmosphere is amazing and 100% a go to place in Point Loma! I definitely recommend coming in on Wednesday for karaoke or any time of the day week. Amazing service every day!!!
