One of the best dining experiences that I've had in awhile. We went for their Father's Day brunch buffet. The venue is beautiful with great views. Good food selections and everything was delicious. Outstanding seafood and carving stations. The service was great, especially the woman who seemed to be a manager. Her warmth and helpfulness elevated the experience. I look forward to going back.

Start to finish the wine pairing dinner was fantastic! Service was top notch, Chris, Richard & Anna were great!

A true jewel! The prime rib buffet was all it was advertised to be. The food was delicious and more than plentiful, the wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the room was very comfortable, with a great view. Plus, this must be the best deal in town in terms of pricing!

Very nice place to have lunch. Food is very fresh and presented beautifully. Nice menu options. Free valet parking starting at 11:30. Beautiful open dining room with views out to the canyon and the ocean

The food is delicious and it looks beautiful on the plate. There are some very interesting and tasty choices.

I like the fact that most of the servers are USD students working to help pay for college. I encourage you to talk to them about their studies. Most of the want to engage with the diners.

This place has gotten markedly worse over the years. The servings are tiny and expensive. The last two times I was there, others that ate with me complained about still being hungry after ordering a full entree and dessert. In addition, the food and check were VERY slow to come out and my coffee was served lukewarm. I suggest finding another option.

We got there at 6pm and they were already out of wine and didn't have the menus printed yet (what?) The food was mediocre and not made with any sort of love. Dessert (made in house) was weird. The servers (2 for the whole restaurant) were trying to make it work, but there seemed to be a major lack of organization. I'm generally willing to pay more for ambience, good service, and/or great food. etc. but the overall experience was not impressive (except for the view). I probably won't be returning.

We went for restaurant week at dinner and was very impressed. We went for sunset and it was wonderful, very friendly staff and Laura was so friendly and helpful even with a big rush that came in. Very impressed with the hanger steak and dessert - table side service for both the chocolate bomb and baked Alaska. Will definitely be back!

La Gran Terraza was our second restaurant visied during San Diego Restaurant Week (9/23 - 9/27/24). Both had a great lunch menu, but La Gran Terraza took food quality, presentation, and service to a superior level. Highly Recommend

Dined out for San Diego Restaurant Week. My wife's flat iron steak was cooked perfectly and sooo tender, and she could have had a few more bowls of the seafood bisque which was absolutely delicious. I had the crab cake salad and the salmon entree; both were outstanding. The 75th Anniversary Baked Alaska was an absolute treat!Liked the ambiance in the dining hall. Service from Alejandra was excellent. Overall an outstanding night out!!

We came for the wine and food pairing dinner. 4 wines paired with each of the course. La Gran Terraza does these pairings through out the year, definitely worth checking into if you've never been.

The entres were all over cooked and tasted slightly burnt. With the wagyu burger especially being very underwhelming in flavor and the truffle chips having the flavor of slightly overcooked toast. Customer service was fair but the weight staff forgot to bring a spoon for our dessert though they were busy so was understandable. Their desserts though tasted very good would highly recommend .
