Food was outstanding; a great value. The wine list was good and inexpensive, but there were several selections not available. The room was nice, however, the lights were way too bright for an evening dinner. A little ambience goes a ling way. I plan on going back during the day to see the view.

We went door restaurant week. We sat outside and the view was beautiful The food was great. The only job all is that they don't serve alcohol.

We had a lovely lunch out on the terrace for Restaurant Week, and I thoroughly enjoyed all my food—steak frites, strawberry salad with mint dressing, and the coconut cake! Just a little disappointed that the fries weren't truffle fries as advertised.

Very confusing to find. No clear signage. Our waitress was wonderful, but half of our food came out cold.

We had a wonderful, welcoming experience - the food was delicious and our server, Hailee Byun, was very attentive throughout our meal. A truly enjoyable dining experience all around. Thank you!

I have eaten there many times, but will not be returning. Parking was atrocious because the machine wasn't working. I spent 20 minutes trying to park. The food has always been delicious, but the only items that were tasty this time were the salad and French fries. The jalapeño bread was too spicy, the steak was tasteless, and the creamed spinach was too garlicky. Even the chocolate cake with coconut ice cream was a disappointment, especially for $8.75. The view from the dining room is lovely, but it doesn't make up for poor food and parking.

The service was especially slow this time. My entree had a garlic yogurt sauce that was inedible. Waiter didn't come back for 15 minutes so I couldn't get another entree. When I told him that it was “awful “ He just shrugged his shoulders and smiled. Not cool!!

The restaurant week menu was outstanding. Chef Marbi Becerra's culinary creations are always beautifully presented and executed. The ambience of the gorgeous high ceilinged room has 180 degree views of the surrounding canyons. The wait staff is always attentive without being intrusive. Always a special experience - a well hidden jewel in San Diego!

This elegant dining room on the USD campus is a hidden gem. There is a wide variety of menu choices in all categories. The meals are presented beautifully and are delicious. Desserts are unusual and creative. Prices are reasonable. I only wish they were open longer hours and more days.

La Gran Terraza at USD is a great spot for solid food and unbeatable views. The menu is consistently good with fresh, well-prepared dishes, and the open-air setting overlooks the campus with beautiful views of the bay that make the whole experience feel relaxed and special. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or bringing visitors who want to see one of the best views on campus.

We had a lovely holiday dinner with friends during the Annual Prime Rib buffet at La Grand Terrazza Restaurant on the USD campus. It has become an annual tradition every year for us all. The price per person has increased slightly but is still a very reasonable meal which includes appetizers, main course and dessert. Christmas carolers wander through the dining giving it a very festive atmosphere. The only suggestion I have is that they provide valet parking for the event. The student parking that is available is difficult for many seniors who attend.

Great Holiday champagne dinner. Good food, nice selection of champagne, lovely decor. Service was somewhat spotty, polite, but the wines were out of sync with the meal at the beginning of the dinner, and then ahead of the meal at the end. Overall a great value.

Although some of the staff was in training, there was much graciousness and jocularity; Enjoyed by one and all!

This is a wonderful restaurant in a beautiful setting. The food presentation and taste were excellent. The prices are reasonable for a nice restaurant. I highly recommend it.

We attend this lobster dinner every year, it's always superb, but this year it was exceptional. The passed hors d'oeuvres of lobster salad in endive cups and lobster mousse in mini cones were so delicious and we opted for more every time they were passed. Each course thereafter was perfect in both taste and presentation. We were especially impressed with the lobster salad in a clear glass bowl swirling with smoke which was so unique. The filet mignon in the surf and turf entree was a perfect medium rare and all the accompaniments enhanced it. The creme de la creme was ice cream encased in a chocolate shell topped with a decadently rich chocolate sauce poured at the table. Kudos to the chef and to the servers who were so attentive. Once again it was an incredibly wonderful dinner at one of our favorite venues.
