Cute Thai place off of El Cajon. It's nestled in the same plaza as Rise, Cheba Hut, and some fitness centers, so parking can be tough, but it's open after 8pm and worth checking out for a nice dinner. Service was only one person on a Friday night, but they were attentive and our food arrived quickly. Food- Favorites are the tamarind wings, tom yum with shrimp, and pad thai. The spice level is from 1-10 so we chose 5, but as someone who doesn't really do well with thai spices, could have gotten a 7-8. We also got the house special Ka Pao that tasted even better the next day. The soup was refreshing and a good as well - two of us finished the large as a starter.

I went with a friend for an early lunch (11:30A) and we decided to try La Moon Thai Eatery and I'm glad we did!It's a small, quiet restaurant and at the time we were the only people besides a family that came and ordered after we did and later a takeout order.The staff (1 woman) was very pleasant and cheerful. Not sure if she also was preparing the food or just serving but she was efficient.They have a few gluten free options which for me is essential!Their online menu lists ingredients and which items are gluten free *restaurant menu does not unfortunately, so I'd check the online menu first as the staff wasn't completely sure yet did double check and confirm before putting order in to kitchen.I'd wanted to try their Drunken Noodles but was informed that it wasn't gluten free.I went with my second choice and had the (mild) Green Curry with chicken and was instantly impressed with the flavors, just the right amount of spicy and portion (enough for a modest lunch and dinner)My friend also enjoyed her meal of (mild) Green Curry w TofuThe only other downside to experience is they don't take cash, it is card only no cash?? (small sign posted on the register) so I was glad my friend had her card as I only had cash.Dietary restrictions: They have a few gluten free options which for me is essential!Their online menu lists ingredients and which items are gluten free *restaurant menu does not unfortunately, so I'd check the online menu first as the staff wasn't completely sure yet did double check and confirm before putting order in to kitchen.I recommend the Green Curry ?

This very well may be mine and my husband's favorite Thai restaurant! We have tried Thai Taste, Ka Prow and more local Thai restaurants in they simply do not compare. We first started off with the Tom Yum with shrimp. It was warm and comforting yet refreshing and had the perfect balance of flavors. What I loved was the shrimp was cooked to perfection and tasted clean and fresh! Then we ordered the appetizer platter which was impeccable. Everything had a very fresh flavor like the eggrolls and the crab Rangoon weren't rolled any earlier than perhaps the afternoon and were fried to perfection. on the platter was the chicken satay and the half moons! Both of those were absolutely delicious. Then we also got the red curry with chicken which was absolutely phenomenal some of the best curry I have ever had. And the shrimp pad Thai. Once again the shrimp well cleaned perfectly cooked and tasted fresh and the noodles had the perfect balance of sweet salty savory and spicy. The service was simple yet attentive and the ambience was modern and cute. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere with some nice plants, soft but decent lighting, and comfortable tables/chairs (no booths). I liked the plating and presentation of the food, and the server checked on us frequently. There was an issue with our food and they took care of it for us. They didn't have ginger tea that day. They had mock duck, but I would ask next time about the fish sauce as I'm not sure the sauces were vegan.

The food is always amazing and the service is great. Cashier and cook are always friendly and welcoming and their spice level is amazing!!! We love spicy food and they know how to make it so good! We will continue coming here for our Thai food cravings!!!

Best Tom Yum in San Diego. I like it better than Tom Kha anywhere else. It's neat and clean in there. The wait staff is attentive brought water to my table before my bringing my food and checked on me once to see if my meal was okay. Definitely recommended.
