Want to have the place to yourself for brunch on a Saturday? We had the place to ourselves and had coffee in big mugs, pasta and lemon cake for dessert. The lemon cake was light and great to split. Pasta portions were large, like two portions, so I took half home. The young Italian waiter was friendly. This space used to be a Farmers restaurant and used to be super busy. Idk what happened. The service would be a bit faster, but maybe leisurely eating is the Italian way?Parking: Small, tight spots close to the restaurant. Big parking lot but come early if you do not want to walk a ways.

I had seen La Pastaia highlighted on KUSI news not too long ago, and so my husband and I decided to try it out on our way to a comedy show in the area. WoW, what a wonderful surprise! First of all, the decor of the restaurant is so beautiful! If anyone is ever interested in treating a loved one to a special dining experience, I would absolutely recommend this restaurant! And the food was so delicious! I ordered the sea bass, which in my opinion, is how sea bass should be prepared every time! The tiramisu is a must, especially how delightfully retro it is presented! The service is great and so friendly! Please try this restaurant because it does not disappoint!

Way overpriced for what it is. The food is average at best. Trying to reimagine Italian food is such a weird approach. We ordered the bruschetta, parmesan wheel pasta, and the tiramisu. The bruschetta was awful. 3 pieces of bread, each with different toppings. Artichoke, tomato, then mushroom. Like what?? $14.Next the pasta. We asked the waiter if the pasta was share size and he said yes. I kid you not, there was literally 4 bites worth of pasta. $34 for 4 bites of mediocre pasta. Lastly, the tiramisu. Served in an espresso percolator (why??) and was way too much cream but it tasted okay. All in all $65 for some bad Italian is a tough sell. Okay bye!

I really wanted to like this business but the seafood pasta was over watered down and the paradelle short rib was not well sauced in the ragu. It earns my stars for the drinks and the service.

The place is cozy, the service is wonderful and the food is perfect, I don't eat butter it's always a problem, but not there, they always find a way and I leave very happy.

The pappardelle noodles were not properly cooked and there was a great deal of fat from the short ribs mixed into the dish. I had to remove several large pieces of fat from my dinner which did not enhance the experience. The restaurant is quite noisy and you are better off sitting outside.

First of all: they didn't honor our confirmed reservation for 12 people. So we all stood around there for 40 minutes until they led us into a weird small room with one long gold painted table. At this point we were cut off from the general atmosphere of the restaurant which added to the uncomfortable feeling. The food off the restaurant-week menu was underwhelming. Fried calamari came out cold, dipping sauces were bland, la pastaia salad was just rucola with balsamic vinegar and walnuts. The saltimbocca from chicken breast was OK but nothing to come back for.So the whole place was one star only if it wasn't for the waiter Sergio who speaks 3 languages natively and entertained us throughout the evening. Great guy. The complimentary limoncello was also a nice touch.

We were the first people in the restaurant at 10:30. The floor of our table was covered in smashed tomatoes moved to another table and that floor was not much better. Looked around and all the floors looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in awhile. My feeling is a clean atmosphere means a clean kitchen. When we received our food it was cold. And toast was completely black on one side. You would think being that it was not busy at all that the kitchen would be producing nice hot and unburned food. We won't be returning . Was pretty grossed out.

Went during restaurant week. The food is not bad, but nothing spectacular. What pissed me off is our waiter is quite disoriented. Signaled to him that we are ready to order. He came, we ordered the two kids meals first, and before we could order our own food he went to take the check from the table next to us. And then he said he will put the kids orders first and then come back. Then... he went to the other table to take orders and then went back to the bar area completely forgot about us. I know it's a busy night but can he at least do one thing at a time?

Amazing service, wine choices and help with menu choices! Dessert and espresso after dinner was so good too! Would eat here again!
