$33 for 4 rolled tacos & a carne asada burrito...Beyond my budget!I don't pay that at an upscale restaurant much less a hole in the wall taco shop...Not worth it!

Go-to burrito spot. No frills, just fresh, tasty food packaged in quality tortillas and made by good people. Recommend the pollo asado.

Carne Asada tacos with chips and salsa is yummy. Two is all I ever order and is perfect size portion for one person. Service is also great.

Taquitos burnt to a crisp. Took 2min to chew each bite. Was like jerky. I dont understand the rating at all, which is why we tried it. Worst ive had in years. My girls carne asada was blah too.

Had a fantastic California burrito at La Perla Cocina #2 this morning. Great mix of ingredients, served hot and fresh, juicy carne asada, fries cooked perfect, plenty of guacamole. Very delicious. The red sauce blended in well with the burrito but was very mild, I wish it had more kick to
Came from LA to visit San diego area. The reviews made it seem good but the food had no flavor. It was so bland. The rice was dry and beans were stiff. Surf and turf burrito was nothing special. Tortillas definitely old and hard. Carne asada was dry and tasteless. Such a disappointment.

The BEST California burrito in California. Hands down! I also love the pollo asada plate, and their fresh salsas are delicious. The owners are the kindest people and so appreciate your business. We loved loved the owner Guillermo and used to go to the other La Perla on Emerald. He passed away in December and now that store is closed. The very nicest man, we will miss him. His family is keeping the other stores going. Order the CA burrito! Delicious!

This is for the Perla on grand Avenue. We went to the old Perla on emerald avenue. It was closed seems permanently. we had travelled 10 miles to get some burritos which we have had many times. They were the best. So unflinchingly we went to the sister Perla on Grand next to Linda's Donut. We had the carne asada and bean burrito The meat was tough burrito was tepid. Actually not even average for a taco shop. I asked the cashier about the old Perla he said curtly " I nothing about them" struck me as odd. Seems they are not the same owners or people. Are these "Imposters? As I knew the owners husband and wife of the original Perla that had come from La Playa taco shop on Mission blvd. I will just stick to La Playa they have always been great!

Ordered the shrimp and fish tacos. It was okay if you are looking for a quick meal. They have a few tables for dine in. There is one restroom and it is for customers only. Person that took our order was very polite, and there was one person in the kitchen cooking. The fish was fried in a batter. I was expecting them to be grilled.
