Incredibly rude guy at the window, second time I get the same guy. Mind you this is the second time I come, first experience I asked if the roll tacos come with toppings like pico or lettuce he said no. (A coworker walked in a few days later with roll tacos with all the toppings she got from here) I decided to come back about a month later and the same guy is there and with the same attitude. He won’t even acknowledge people standing there trying to order. I saw two people leave while I was eating

I ordered roll tacos and it came with brown guacamole. I returned the food and they said that’s just how it is. NOT FRESH at all and I was very disappointed.
Carne Masada burrito is not that bad better than other places, you only need to buy one to fill you up and parking on the back

Oh the memories. Thankfully this place has been here forever and still is. 25 years ago I was showing up with a crowd at 3am for bean and cheese burritos, now it's the first stop off the plane for my friends. Everyone talks about California Burritos but as an SD native I also judge by bean and cheeses and La Posta is the best. If you go late at night, you'll leave with a story as this area was always full of crazies from the nearby hospitals and not much has changed. Go anytime, they're doing the Lords work 24/7. Get a burrito and some crispy beef tacos, buy one for your new friend with a hospital bracelet who's going through a hard time, don't get stabbed and eat some of the best Mexican food of your life like a native, not some Herb from Ohio in line at Old Town Mexican Cafe.

Came in at 8:30. They were closed at 8. I dodged a bullet I guess. Last couple times were restroom filled anguish. I think I'm done here. Used to be my spot at least 3-4 times a week years ago.

First and last time here 50$ old left over greasy food meat 4days old that why post roll taco 9.50 combo old meat dried not fresh it stinks so does the pico de Gallo old tomato s when in doubt throw it away but sale old food greedy people don't care if others get sick !!
This Taco stand has been here for decades. I've always chuckled at the way it looks like some kind of adult business given that virtually all the windows are blocked and one can only leave their order via a tiny window that they can bend down to see into and give their order.
But the gentleman taking the order was extremely polite and helpful. I moved away 11 years ago, but this was the first place I came to to have a meal in San Diego. Always the same: the spectacular chorizo burrito. Today's was identical to the one I had there to begin with almost 40 years ago. But as with everything, prices are up especially in california. The price for the chorizo burrito and a diet Coke: $13.50.
But they also had a breakfast burrito special that look delicious but that I did not get. And that was only $9.50.
Eat outside directly in front of the restaurant to complete the spectacular experience. Recommended! I'll be back... And I hope it's not in another 10 years!
Parking: Several free spots available. Plus there is street parking available as well

I used to love going here. I was dissatisfied with their chicken taco. The shell wasn't crispy. Their carna asada burritos are delicious.

Best California burritos yet!
Update: prices are up which I don’t mind but if I’m paying $13 for a quesadilla it will need more than a couple slices of cheese
