Maybe one the best Italian dinners my wife and i have ever had. For sure the best lasagna ever, and lasagna is my least favorite Italian dish, Thank you to the owner for finding us a table without reservation and fantastic wait staff.

Simple yet delicious Italian food. Who knew that a rigatoni marinara could taste so divine? The giant meatball and gnocchi were amazing as well. Excellent service. It was a cool and windy evening, so my only complaint is that the restaurant gets the wind blowing through it, so it was colder than comfortable, at least for me.
We had friends in from Cleveland and met them in SD. We had the spicy Caesar and Ossobuco (melt in your mouth) and both were delicious our friends ordered the eggplant and lasagna again delicious but my friend thought the eggplant parmesan was the best she had eaten. Our server Manuel was excellent and made the evening extra special. A bit of a drive from Newport so will not be a quick return but we would definitely come back. One slight the BBQ oysters were ok but have had better.
The food was just ok. Like just ok. Drinks are also just ok. Vibe is great for a pre dinner hang out but don't recommend for a full dinner.
Had a reservation at 9pm and got sat 45 minutes later which wasn't a huge deal but we were told they would take care of us and we got a free appetizer but we were allergic so weren't able to enjoy.
We were there at 7:30 on a Friday night and the atmosphere was very clubby and SUPER loud. Great spot if you want to pregame ahead of a big night out, but not good for a romantic evening with your spouse. This place seemed like it was created for the Instagram crowd.
We had to send a drink back because there was a bug (maybe a fruit fly) in it. They replaced it with a new drink but they still charged us for the drink. My menu was sticky. My wine glass was dirty on the bottom. None of these things were horrible in and of themselves but altogether it did not make for a pleasurable experience. Food was okay. My glass of wine tasted good!
Lala never fails to be the perfect restaurant in Little Italy, personally my favorite Italian in San Diego and will always recommend to anyone visiting. The spicy rosa sauce is actually insane and I get it every single time! Wine selection is excellent, spicy caeser & the meatball are a must have, and the ambience/service is great every time. Def book a reservation from Thurs-Sundays. I would personally always have a reso just incase. Highly recommend!!

We had originally had reservations at Barbusa, but when we arrived the atmosphere was very loud and noisy. The owner of Barbusa had one of the hostesses take us over to LaLa which he owns and the food and atmosphere was much calmer and I can't say enough about the hospitality that was shown to us. We thanked the owner for his generosity.
