Leucadia Pizza UTC / La Jolla

My nurse told me this place rocked. Been living in La Jolla over 30 years and never stopped here, so had to try it. Not your usual pie, but cheezy and tasty with lots of ingredients. The dough was not crunchy but it was tasty and had lots of sauce. My only qualm would be the dine-in experience. The place needs a good interior designer to up the beat and work on the lighting and layout, which, i am sure would take this place into the next level.

Fresh ingredients, made A Margarita Pizza Right and I guess that’s why a medium pizza price high! Compared to “ Generic Pizza” from the big chain pizza Franchises!

My father and I tried dining at Leucadia for the first time recently. We had a pleasant server named Sufi who was attentive. I was surprised by the garlic bread brought fresh and complimentary, some of the best I've had. Our pizza and house salad were delicious, though the pizza dough has a sweetness that was surprising (I'm a fan but heads up!) Will definitely be back and recommend a try here if you live around the UTC area

Pasta, calzones, and pizza are amazing. Wife and I order all the time. Great food for a great price.

I ordered pizza, chicken nuggets, and salad. The girl at the counter forgot to bring me the nuggets. When I came home, I discovered that the veggie pizza was marked as chicken and vice versa. I am wondering if idiots are working in this place.

I’ve been here a few times. Each time has been forgettable. One of those times was dine-in. All of those times, the pizza crust was lacking in flavor. Are you better off going to Papa John’s in the same shopping center? I haven’t tried that Papa John’s, so I’ll leave that up to you. If you’re looking for a “local pizza place” taste, Leucadia is it, but just keep in mind that the taste isn’t all that good.

Service has not been good lately. Food takes 40 minutes to come out and the wait staff makes mistakes. We live in the area and it appears the staff is mostly new. Perhaps that explains the drop in service and quality.
