Good little bar with a nice rooftop view. Service was great, and the drinks and food were at an average price. While nothing special, the view makes up for it.

Wife and I had reservations. Ordered 2 cocktails, 1 appetizer and 1 main course. Appetizers and main course came quickly but it took 40 minutes for wife and I to get our cocktails. Waiter was nonexistent. Fish tacos were bland. Definitely over crowded and loud DJ playing music. If you didn't have a table it was about an hour wait for a drink at the bar. The view is the only good thing.

Borrego Rooftop is a hidden gem perched on the 9th floor of Hotel Indigo in the Gaslamp Quarter. Whether you’re a guest at the hotel or just looking for a great rooftop hangout, this spot is open to the public after 4 PM and definitely worth checking out.
One of the highlights here is the incredible view—overlooking downtown San Diego with a direct line of sight into Petco Park, home of the Padres. It’s a perfect place to grab a drink before a game or just unwind while watching the city buzz below.
The drink menu is impressive, offering a wide variety of liquors and creative mixed drinks, so there’s something for everyone. They also have food available to order, which makes it easy to spend a few hours just soaking it all in.
Whether you’re seated at the bar, along the railing for the best views, or lounging by one of the cozy patio fireplaces, Borrego Rooftop gives you a relaxed, elevated experience in every sense of the word. A great vibe, great views, and a perfect way to enjoy San Diego’s beautiful evenings.

Out of this world views! There was a game going on and the roar of the crowd was a rush.
Service was excellent. We talked with our Server about baseball, cocktails and all upbeat
Good pour on the cocktail with requested extra garnish. Very nice touch.
The bar is super clean and allowed family children to accompany the adults.
Really liked this place.

Abysmal service. The waiter was literally drunk. I don’t mean buzzed, but sloshed. Given the views, we planned to have a good time for our anniversary here. First off, no one came to get the order for 30mins. Upon a repeat request, no one still did, until we actually atopped one of the staff and gave the order. 30mins later he comes back to ask if we want some drinks. And then when I asked about ETA for the food we order, the sane sloshed waiter says he forgot to put the order in. This was at 9:30p on a Monday night. Definitely not recommending this place. Limited food, delayed service, drunk waiter. Don’t want to crap on the hard working staff, but a spade is a spade. Get your act together !

Great views, decent food, but service needs work
One of the best parts of Borrego Rooftop is the view — overlooking Petco Park and the surrounding skyline, it really gives you a great sense of the city.
The food was good — we tried the steak fries and grilled steak. The flavor was solid, not mind-blowing, but enjoyable.
Drinks? Cold beer and carajillos — hard to go wrong there.
The service, unfortunately, wasn’t at the same level. It took about 15 -20 minutes just to get a waiter assigned and take our drink order. Later, as we stayed to enjoy the fresh night air, the server repeatedly brought us the check without us asking for it — even after I ordered more drinks. It got a little awkward when I had to hand it back a second time.
I always leave a good tip because I respect everyone’s work, but it’s not ideal when you’re still ordering and get pushed the check multiple times.
Overall: amazing view, decent food, drinks are reliable — just hope for a better service experience next time.

Cool spot! Isreal was great!
Great views (including of Petco, making it a fab Gameday spot) and surprisingly good food. Service was so-so, though, and the menu was very limited.

Horrible service. Waited 20 mins to get a menu, then the server comes by and says “opps I forgot the menus” and then takes another 15 mins to finally bring them. Doesn’t take our order until another 10 mins. Later on we ordered fish tacos, he comes back 45 mins later and says “sorry we don’t have fish tacos”, I order carrot fries and he comes back 20 mins later and says “sorry we don’t have those either. At the end he said “I took off the food” ($20) but then charged us for drinks we never asked for or got. He then started to argue with us. He has long wavy hair and a sassy attitude. We just wanted to hear the band play, enjoy the view and have some drinks but never again will we return due to yesterday night’s server.
Great views and good food, good casual place to get a beer and some food while enjoying the city view
Stopped after the game for drinks. Bartender was amazing.
Loved our server. Great place to watch the sunset. Got mezcal with a splash of pineapple juice and a jalapeño slice, it was perfect. We also ordered the chips with salsa and guacamole and falafel balls.
This rooftop is located on the 9th floor of the hotel. As soon as you get out of the elevator the restaurant will be to your left. There is a bar area and another seating area on the other side. It is a very chill, calm environment. I went for the first time with some friends to have dinner and the food and service was great. Mario our server was funny, very informative, attentive, polite, and would constantly check in on us to see if we needed anything. The hostess was also very nice and showed me where I could find the restroom and stated they have blankets incase it ever got too cold. I chose to sit near a fire pit and that kept me warm enough to be comfortable. The seating and the view is amazing. I ordered the mojo de ajo chicken, it was actually really good in my opinion. It is served with this sort of crusted bean cake that was phenomenal, never had anything like it. I also had a glass of the Mexican blend wine which was not too dry nor too sweet, but I would say a bit more on the drier side. Overall we had a great experience, absolutely loved and enjoyed it here. Thank you Mario for an unforgettable night!
