I honestly do not understand how this place won Best Filipino Cuisine from San Diego Mag - couldn’t be further from the truth. The food is mediocre and the service has been a huge disappointment every time I have tried giving them a chance. Spencer, the guy working there, always comes off negligent, never friendly and never apologetic.
The operating hours are inaccurate. More than once we have shown up when they were supposed to be open only to find the doors closed. One time we even waited an entire hour for our food, and when we finally went back to the counter to ask for a refund, no one was there and they completely ghosted us. The local businesses in the Barrio Logan community said they often get customers that wonder why they’re closed when they’re supposed to be open and generally don’t have positive remarks.
Instead of taking responsibility, the attitude toward customers feels hostile, as if it is our fault they are busy. Here is a thought: maybe hire more people if you cannot handle the demand.
It is frustrating because I wish there was a truly good Filipino restaurant in this neighborhood, but this place has been nothing but a terrible experience for us personally.

Phenomenal lumpia - we were in town for my husband's international high school reunion (school is in Manila) and I just happened to notice this place on a side street in the Gaslamp. The group with me had all lived in Manila and they're fanatics about good lumpia. This place more than lived up to their standards - they were piping hot and the chili sauce was so good. Our server was delightful, attentive and funny and keeping everything under control with this rather rowdy group. If you like Philippine food, don't overlook this place!

They were not even busy. Got there today, only 2 customers in front of me. And the place was empty. Took 40+ minutes to get my order of spam musubi lumpia and pork sisig tacos. Highly disappointed
The desserts, drinks and food is really good and authentic Filipino food. Highly recommend this place if you are craving Filipino food. We ordered the Kapu Ube iced coffee, Kuya Arnold, pancit with pork belly, and the malasadas.
Best freaking Philipino fusion in the Springs!!!! A definite must try!!!
Never open when they say they are. I've been here 3 times, always closed even though their posted business hours say they should be open
Go here the food will change your life. The owner is a wonderful person. But double check their hours on instagram before you make the trip because their hours vary all the time!
Amazing food! Its definitely a hidden gem! Portions are great for the value. The owner is super friendly and offers great delicious Filipino food
Said they were open online and on the business hours, even had open sign flipped. But they were just inside partying while I waited. I yelled are you open and they made hard eye contact but decided to ignore me. Rude. Just say you decided to close for a private party.. don’t ignore me in the cold.
This is the 2nd time I tried to eat here and they were closed when their business hours said open. Guess it wasn’t meant to be
Restaurantji Recommends
The food tasted fair but when I got home, I had a diarrhea attack. I don't think the food was handled safely.

If you want the best lumpia in town, it's here! I always order too many plates because they're all so good! Calamansi wings and smash burgers to die for! I recommend this place whenever Filipino food is mentioned, it's a must stop by when in the area!

I strongly advise anyone NOT TO come here if you want a friendly & honest atmosphere to dine in. The guy running the joint who goes by "Spence" is NOT as advertised as the local vlogger has shown promoting this place. Nothing that he told me in person matches anything he said on YouTube. I'm only going by the information given to me, be it Google your website or YouTube. I ordered a chicken adobo lumpia that wasn't listed as "sold out" & you tell me "thats sold out too". I didn't go to a food truck, i went to the Barrio logan home. So of course I'm Not going to like it nor would any other customer if you can't post your hours of operation, communicate what dishes you have available & acknowledge my presence AFTER YOU OPENED for Business. What am I mirage that is to be ignored? I could have gone to bigger chains, but the only reason why I went was b-cuz I wanted to support smaller businesses. Looks like that backfired big time after you copped an attitude Spence. So I ended up canceling any potential orders. Be advised: Spence is going to desperately to try "save his business" by spreading lies about me saying: "He posted a 2:30 opening on his website instead of 1" And if it shows 2:30 now that means he deliberately updated it to discredit & smear me. It sez 1 pm Spence so don't get mad at me for showing up within those hours. Also he claims "I was ignored before he opened" & that's another lie. I mean who wants to deal w/ a perpetual liar like this? There's better places where they'll appreciate your patronage.
